Hot on the heels of some free DLC earlier this month to celebrate the game's anniversary, PowerWash Simulator is back with another update - and the trailer for it drops a curious teaser for what could be the team's next big crossover.
The summer update itself takes players to the Cruise Ship; a new location for you avid cleaners out there to blast away at for some sweet dirt-removal satisfaction. That update is available now on all platforms, including Xbox and Game Pass.
However, it's the little clip at the end of this trailer that we're most intrigued by. Developer Futurlab has teased its next big crossover here... and we're thinking that this could be Cuphead related. The animation style on that plane certainly reminds us of the famous platformer, anyway!
This crossover hasn't been confirmed just yet, so, don't take our word for it right now! We're only speculating here, but with the calibre of crossovers we've seen before for PowerWash Sim — including Final Fantasy 7, Tomb Raider and more — this certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility. It shouldn't be too long until we find out anyway!
Do you think this is Cuphead related? Or are we totally off the mark here? Powerwash away your thoughts down below.

The success of this game to pop culture status absolutely confuses and delights me.
@NEStalgia I think it’s got a lot going for it. Firstly it’s a really calming there’s no time limit or enemy. The only thing is that “ahh” feeling you get from cleaning up a level.
Secondly, the game has levels it just “clean a thing” so you can get a lot of collaborations in be it SpongeBob or Final Fantasy it all works because of the freedom of this system.
If I was to describe the gameplay it’s that feeling you get when you see those TV ads where they take a dirty plate then show you how their product cleans it instantly.
Sadly I parted ways with the game a while ago. Playing for periods of time would cause repetitive strain in my wrists.
@NEStalgia It's sort of the gaming equivalent of one of those adult colouring books that were a big thing a few years back.
I think these could be used for a PowerWash 2, instead of DLC
@Vordus LOL, that's probably the best description!
@NEStalgia I'm very grateful to this 'game'. My wife was never a gamer. Hundreds of hours of Animal Crossing and Power Wash Simulator in particular have not only persuaded her that there are games for everyone but also gotten her to a dexterous level where we can happily play co-op games like Portal 2 and It Takes Two together. She recently 100% The Talos Principle 2 alone. I'm still hoping for a Baldurs Gate 3 playthrough someday!
@Vipor007
What improvements would you suggest to make a Powerwash 2 worthwhile?
@GeeForce A more lived in town, like when you finish, they come out and like or dislike your job.
More realistic building (unlike spaceships etc)
Easy listening music
@Vipor007
They could probably achieve that with updates and further relatively expensive DLCs.
