As part of today's Nintendo Direct partner showcase, Konami has shadow dropped an entire Castlevania collection, including on Xbox! Yep, the Castlevania Dominus Collection is out now and includes three classic titles, plus a bonus "redesigned version of the very first Castlevania arcade game" - Haunted Castle Revisited.
This has come completely out of left field, but we're totally here for it. The three games included in the collection are 'Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow', 'Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin' and 'Castlevania Order of Ecclesia'. The bonus 'Haunted Castle Revisited' can also be played in its original arcade format.
"In addition to the three action adventure games from the Castlevania series, Haunted Castle Revisited, an redesigned version of the very first Castlevania arcade game, makes its debut! And you can also play it in its original format!
Experience the world of Castlevania like never before, with never-before-seen art and handy new features such as rewind, quick saves and much more!"
Better yet, just as we said at the top, this has served as a shadow drop appearance for Nintendo today - meaning it's available right now! Castlevania Dominus Collection will set you back £19.99 / $24.99 , and we'll drop an Xbox Store link to the collection down below.
If you missed this announcement as it happened, or indeed any of the rest of the Xbox-related appearances during today's Nintendo Direct, we've got a handy roundup of Ninty's big partner show down below.

Terrible title aside (Dominus, really? That's only mentioned in Ecclesia) it's really cool to have most of the Castlevania games on Xbox now.
Tempted to get it.
Never was too interested in ports of DS games to other platforms personally (always just preferred those games which were designed for the DS to be played on a dual screen platform, and plus in general I just have a really soft spot for the DS, but that's all just me of course), but the remake of Haunted Castle does tempt me!
It's a good thing there is a Revisited version of Haunted Castle because I certainly wouldn't consider the original version a selling point - the game is just ridiculously hard to the point of not being fun (though, I guess when actual quarters aren't at stake - no pun intended - there is a lot less to lose).
I’m so happy I could cry, I love these games 🖤
@Lup DominuS... get it?
@acmiguens
Still pretty bad! 😂
Suikoden too
No Xbox One release.
Welp.
Dawn of Sorrow was my favorite Castlevania game and I will probably revisit it once I've finished the next entries on my to-play list.
@Lup I agree that name isn’t great, which is sad because I’ve always said Castlevania has some of the best names in gaming.
@anoyonmus I was curious about this as well. This is on Microsoft tho. Because of their mandate of all new titles having a Series version, publishers have to choose one. Or in cases like Square and Capcom, completely avoid Xbox all together. The evil empire can't get out of it's own way with these stupid mandates. Playstation has no such denial to its own customers and PS4 is still thriving. Go figure.
Grab these, if you're remotely interested. They're great games!
@Xbox_Dashboard there’s no PS4 version of this collection either.
This is on Konami
Fantastic. Order of Ecclesia is my favorite all-time Castlevania. It's always waiting for me in a DSi XL for a new run.
@BHPM I love the DS, and I agree with you. It's the best way to experience these games. But, it's great they are now available to more people.
This is great news, especially since it's a release that isn't skipping Xbox. Though the screen setup in this game will give me sweats over my OLED TV 😂
This is great, I currently own every Castlevania game on Xbox right now. Going to pick these up on sale later around Halloween or Xmas.
