It appears that developer Cold Iron Studios has plans for an upcoming sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite; the former co-op Game Pass shooter that first launched in 2021. A range of documents on this supposed sequel have been circulating online (thanks, VGC) - and if they're real, they actually show a decent amount of detail on the title.
Currently titled 'Project Macondo' and seemingly aiming for a late 2025 launch, this Fireteam Elite sequel looks to build on the solid foundations of the first game - with a stronger story focus, new character options, a fresh take on Horde mode and more.
Here's a look at these Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 docs, if you'd like to have a browse:
Now, this is just leaked information and is by no means officially confirmed - heck, the documents themselves could be well out of date at this stage. The Reddit user in question has followed up these images by saying that they're typically a Fortnite 'leaker', and that they came across these images from a huge Disney leak that supposedly occurred recently.
Anyway, it's worth taking all of this information with a big old pinch of salt - we don't know what's happening in relation to a potential Fireteam Elite sequel just yet. We did quite like the first game though, and its solid foundations could lead to a pretty fantastic sequel if Cold Iron Studios plays its cards right.
