Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is launching on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass this October, and ahead of release, Activision has now officially revealed the open beta release dates for the game.
As highlighted by The Verge's senior editor Tom Warren, this is actually the first time ever a CoD beta will be available across all platforms at the same time. So, when can we expect to jump in? In brief, early access starts on August 30th, 2024 and will run until September 4th, 2024. This will then be followed by the open beta period between September 6th-9th, 2024.
"Two days after Call of Duty: Next (on August 28), the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Open Beta begins, starting on August 30! Experience the game-changing Omnimovement and other gameplay innovations for yourself across a variety of brand-new maps built by Treyarch, as well as building your own loadouts, accessing a variety of weapons, equipment and Perks, and dropping in with your squad across a number of modes."
Early access is available (across all platforms) to players who have pre-ordered the game and includes Game Pass subscribers. As mentioned, this beta will go live at the same time across all platforms and will be followed by a second weekend beta.
Activision has also used this opportunity to show off the game's Vault Edition, which comes with the following contents: Operator Pack, Blackcell, Gogglegum Pack, Mastercraft Collection, Woods Operator Pack, and Open Beta Early Access. You'll also get to test out some of this content during the Beta:
"Furthermore, players who have pre-ordered the Vault Edition should expect to play as any of the four Operators from the Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack (Park, Adler, Brutus, or Klaus), as well as being able to test out any of the five weapons from the Mastercraft Weapon Collection!"
