Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is launching on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass this October, and ahead of release, Activision has now officially revealed the open beta release dates for the game.
As highlighted by The Verge's senior editor Tom Warren, this is actually the first time ever a CoD beta will be available across all platforms at the same time. So, when can we expect to jump in? In brief, early access starts on August 30th, 2024 and will run until September 4th, 2024. This will then be followed by the open beta period between September 6th-9th, 2024.
"Two days after Call of Duty: Next (on August 28), the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Open Beta begins, starting on August 30! Experience the game-changing Omnimovement and other gameplay innovations for yourself across a variety of brand-new maps built by Treyarch, as well as building your own loadouts, accessing a variety of weapons, equipment and Perks, and dropping in with your squad across a number of modes."

Early access is available (across all platforms) to players who have pre-ordered the game and includes Game Pass subscribers. As mentioned, this beta will go live at the same time across all platforms and will be followed by a second weekend beta.
Activision has also used this opportunity to show off the game's Vault Edition, which comes with the following contents: Operator Pack, Blackcell, Gogglegum Pack, Mastercraft Collection, Woods Operator Pack, and Open Beta Early Access. You'll also get to test out some of this content during the Beta:
"Furthermore, players who have pre-ordered the Vault Edition should expect to play as any of the four Operators from the Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack (Park, Adler, Brutus, or Klaus), as well as being able to test out any of the five weapons from the Mastercraft Weapon Collection!"

Excited about this upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta? Let us know in the comments.

Well since it will be on Gamepass I will check it out. CoD has been dead since MW 2019 to be honest.
Early Access for an Open Beta???!!!!
I know it’s not a new concept at all, but it just occurred to me how much it seems like such a bizarre stretch of the meaning of it all.
@AccessibleDaydream Well its 'open' from the 6th-9th if you actually look at the image and the 'early access Beta' is shown as being (Aug30-Sept4th) for those with pre-orders etc.
We see games (like Starfield) have 'early access' for its 'full' release - yet all the record books will say it 'released' on the day it had 'full' release. I know it sounds 'odd' in the case of the 'Open Beta', which starts on the 6th September, but you can get 'earlier access' to the same 'Beta' earlier - so you are getting 'early access' to what will be the 'Open Beta' by pre-ordering - otherwise you can wait for the Beta to be Opened for all...
I do agree that it can seem somewhat odd - but if you have an 'Open Beta' for example that is offering some 'earlier' access for anyone who 'meets' certain criteria (like Pre-ordering and/or Game Pass Subscription) as a 'bonus', then that Bonus is 'earlier access' to what will be an 'Open Beta' in a similar way you could play Starfield 'earlier' by pre-ordering otherwise you'd have to wait for it to release for ALL.
So if I see 'early access' for an 'Open Beta', that tells me that I can still try the beta regardless of whether I pre-order, that the Beta will be 'opened' for everyone. Its not just a Beta for those who do 'pre-order'. The 'early access' part is more about it being part of the 'bonuses' for 'pre-ordering' otherwise you'll just get the 'Open Beta' which will be between 6th-9th September.
The English Language - especially in 'text' form does allow for a lot of misinterpretation. There is an 'OPEN' Beta, but if you can't wait until that 'OPEN' Beta, there is a way to get 'earlier' access to that Beta before its OPEN to everyone - hence Early Access to the 'Open Beta'...
Boo! The dates suck for me. I'm only going to get playing 1 day of the early access and hopefully 2 days of the open beta.
