Next year is already looking pretty stacked in terms of big Xbox releases, and we also have a number of titles that haven't even been dated yet. One of those is inXile's Clockwork Revolution, which seemed to get a leaked release window the other day before the team shut the rumour down - making light of the situation in the process.
The long and short of it is that one of the game's voice actors seemingly attached a 2025 release to their work on Clockwork Revolution, before removing this information. InXile spotted it though, and decided to poke fun at what had happened; on social media.
As you can see there, the team is still figuring out exactly when Clockwork Revolution will even ship, so it's clear that a voice actor working on the project wouldn't know when it was due to release. We're glad that's been cleared up then, and it's nice that the developer sees the funny side of this situation.
Clockwork Revolution first appeared during the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase, but it was notably absent from this year's show. Clearly, the team still has lots of work ahead of it with this title, and we can't wait to see how it's shaping up when inXile is good and ready to show it off.
Is this high-up on your anticipated games list? Tell us when you expect to see it down below.

Xbox needs to rework its comms and marketing team so ABK marketing plays a bigger role and promote Inexile’s social teams to head of all of Xbox cause they are amazing
I love their sense of humor in Wasteland and social media.
@fbnaulin yep, i played a bit of wastland 3 and became a fan.
Completely unrelated, but the title for some reason made me think of clockwork knight, the old saturn game. Nostalgia is deep with that one. Anyways…
2025 is probably the target and they have no interest in publicly acknowledging that. There is no reason to put a target out there.
All xbox studios will be very candid until they are certain that it can release on the announced date or time frame. The days of 6+ months of marketing a release date are over.
I don't know why people think this is a 2025 possible release. XB has a lot of games due for release soon. I doubt that a studio that released Wasteland 3 in 2020 followed by some expansions is anywhere close to done their next game. I would expect this to be 2026 or beyond. Large AAA games are taking longer and longer to make. Look at The Coalition. They released Gears 5 in 2019, they just announced Gears E-Day this month. Probably still on the horizon for release.
too early to be excited for this from my perspective.
All I will say though is that the initial reveal trailer was interesting and certainly seems to have potential, but until its much closer to release, I won't know if its realised that potential. Therefore I won't be 'excited' until much closer to release, but I will keep my eye on this...
