Back in the days of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in 2002, a game called Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was released on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube, but it somehow managed to avoid Xbox for the entirety of the next 22 years.
That is, until this August! Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will finally be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on August 1st, 2024, with this version being developed by Aspyr - a company behind many recent Star Wars ports.
"In this classic third-person action-adventure, you'll become Jango Fett, Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic, hired to capture a deranged Dark Jedi."
"Experience the legendary Bounty Hunter fantasy set before the events of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. Face off against foes and maneuver through acrobatic battles in this adaption optimized for today's consoles and hardware."
We'll also see visual enhancements in this new Xbox release, along with an unlockable Boba Fett skin.
If you're interested in buying Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, pre-orders are now available on the Xbox Store with a 10% discount, bringing the price down to a reasonable £15.06 / $17.99. We've never played it, so we'll be there day one!
We'll throw more screenshots for Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on Xbox down below:

I was actually excited until I saw Aspyr behind the port. After the colossal failure of the BF ports, I'm not touching a single game from that garbage studio.
@UndyingInsurgent95 Battlefield ports?
@GuyinPA75 Battlefront ports!
@UndyingInsurgent95 I know Battlefront had some issues at launch, but Racer was a decent port from day one.
@FraserG I get it but it's always like Russian roulette with Aspyr. Sometimes you end up with a decent port and sometimes you end up with Battlefront and KOTOR.
I had good times with this back in the day so it's on my radar. Though with all games I'll wait for reviews until I make a choice.
Picking it up day one.
There really is nothing like that 90-2000's Star Wars videogame aesthetic.
@ChopstickPhilly Oh ok. To be fair though battlefront were some bad games to begin with.
@GuyinPA75 Pandemic's Star War Battlefront 1 and 2 are some of the most loved video games out there. So much so they still had players on PC using the original and modded version before this release ever came out.
@UndyingInsurgent95 I was going to make the exact same comment. The failure to provide the DLC for KOTOR2 and the debacle of the Battlefront remasters are enough to convince me to hold onto my cash.
More excited for this one than the Ubislop Star Wars game. Let’s get the OG Xbox Obi-Wan game next!
@GuyinPA75 the newer ones were for me too, but if we're talking classics too then it's a case of agree to disagree i guess
@InterceptorAlpha We talking original Xbox battlefront or the new disasters EA put out?
If we're talking strictly PC gaming then I'm incredibly ignorant to all of those since refuse to do PC gaming and strictly console.
@ChopstickPhilly Original Xbox battlefront I enjoyed. The newer ones I did not. Plus it really bothered me they did not have destructable environments like Battlefield.
Could and probably is very petty reason to hate on new ones for that reason. But Battlefield really spoiled me on that being a standard and required feature.
@GuyinPA75 Original. Aspyr re-released the original Battlefront and 2 from 2004 and 2005 that came out on the Xbox, PS2, PC.
It released back in March.
@InterceptorAlpha Oh those ones. I completely forgot those even came out. Months ago debated on purchase, for some reason did not, never thought of them again.
So I have the emulated original version on my PS4 and ps5. And it's fun but god it's janky controls wise and the difficulty sometimes is just downright unfair. I actually abandoned my recent play through because I wasn't having fun. And dualsense controllers are not cheap.... But if this is a remaster that fixes those issues I could be interested. I've no problems with aspyr, the jedi knight remasters they did were good fun. And best way I've played them so far.
Already preordered.
Urgh, Aspyr. So a low effort re-release rather than a worked on port. Often playable, but even their “good” efforts like Jedi Knight and Racer are very rough around the edges and low effort.
Wish Nightdive could do them all!
This is genuinely unexpected. I have a lot of nostalgia for this from playing it back during high school and college. It’s been several years since I last touched it so this will be kinda fresh to me. I really look forward to it!
