You might not have heard of it, but Chants Of Sennaar is available today with Xbox Game Pass, and it deserves your attention! In fact, it was even nominated for the Xbox Game of the Year at the 2023 Golden Joystick Awards.
The game itself is an adventure / puzzle title in which your job is to "observe, listen, and decipher ancient languages in a fascinating universe inspired by the myth of Babel." It has a Metacritic average of 86 for Xbox, and a Soapbox feature over at our sister site Nintendo Life recently praised it as "a GOTY candidate that nobody is talking about":
We'll throw more details about Chants of Sennaar down below, which is available right now on Game Pass.
Chants of Sennaar (Console, PC, Cloud)

Explore and discover an enthralling world in a colorful, poetic setting inspired by the myth of Babel, where men have forgotten their past. Very excited by this one. Botany Manor has really scratched my itch for a puzzle game where you actually have to use your brain. Almost bought on Steam the other day. Happy days.
For the best results, I'd recommend roping in a friend or partner to play this one with you. Having someone to bounce ideas off of and discuss solutions with really helps elevate the experience.
Played through this one with the same friend as I played through Obra Dinn with. Both excellent deduction puzzlers.
Tried it a while back, didn't really feel it, but that doesn't mean it's not a great game. Happy more people will get to enjoy it.
This sounds cool. I'm probably too dumb for it, but at least I can give it a shot with GP.
Has this been on gamepass before??
@hbkay Chants is new to gamepass. If it looks familiar you may be thinking of Sable, which had a similar art style Or from the screen shots of Chants, it seems to. I have not played Chants yet.
