The first six games leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2024 have been revealed today, and sadly we've got a few favourites in the mix! Back 4 Blood is the most high-profile departure, having first arrived back in October of 2021.
Here's the full list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 15, 2024:
Xbox Game Pass: Leaving Soon (April 15, 2024)
Date | Game | Platform |
April 15 | Amnesia: Collection | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 15 | Amnesia: Rebirth | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 15 | Back 4 Blood | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 15 | Phantom Abyss | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 15 | Research and Destroy | Console, PC, Cloud |
April 15 | SOMA | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, you can get a discount of at least 20% on all of these games until they leave Xbox Game Pass, and we wouldn't be surprised if the incoming Xbox Spring Sale increases those discounts over the next couple of weeks.
Obviously it's a shame to be losing these games, but we do also have a lot of confirmed April additions for Xbox Game Pass already, including the day one releases of Harold Halibut, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and others!

I just installed Back 4 Blood a few days ago, but not started it yet. I best get cracking!
Instinctively I feel bad when I see these articles, but once I open 'em it becomes clear that if I really wanted to play games to be removed, I would have done it a long time ago.
Back 4 Blood was a great co-op game. We had a lot of fun with than one.
SOMA is a must play. One of the most immersive and interesting experiences if you’re willing to fully invest your attention (10 hours).
Just got Back4Blood Ultimate edition for £9.99. Supposedly you can play the dlc with a friend without them owning it. So planning to smash through the DLCs before the game leaves.
I enjoyed Back 4 Blood for what it was, it's always seemed a game that it's hard to find team mates on even in it's prime.
@IGN_Commenter Agree Soma is a great walking sim type game exploring environment with bioshock type vibes to it
I feel like GP is doing a great job of keeping the best titles active. I always try to play one of the games being removed to maximize my GP value but there has not been a game removed that I wanted to play in months.
@PartyMarty Exactly what I was wondering. Month or so ago the ultimate editing was on sale for like $25.
Really debated getting it. Wasn't sure if anyone still be playing. So decided against the purchase.
Back 4 Blood Ultimate Edition is on sale on both Xbox and PSN for $10. Quite tempting.
Allegedly, the Xbox sale was supposed to end on the 1st of April.....
The Amnesia collection goes for under $6
@Romans12 its nothing compared to left 4 dead
Soma is the only game that I regret not playing but have it loading and try it out at least….
@cardcrusher29 just checked and it is £9.99 on the UK store currently for the ultimate edition which is a good price considering it's the game plus all DLC's
@PartyMarty
I agree. The card system has the possibility of adding more replayability at higher difficulties. Just in case the publisher shuts down the servers, the AI don't act like morons as well.
