No, this isn't an April Fools' Day joke! We've got ourselves a big new addition to Xbox Game Pass today in the form of Ark: Survival Ascended, which roars onto the service for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
If you haven't been keeping up, this is the new version of Ark: Survival Evolved that was "reimagined from the ground-up" for modern consoles and PC back in late 2023. It's been sitting in the "Top Paid" section of the Xbox Store pretty much ever since, making it one of the most popular Xbox games you can play at the moment.
As mentioned, it's joining Game Pass later today, and we'll throw more details about the game down below:

I can't remember because the Ark remasters journey has been full of twists and U-turns but dose this include the DLC?
I've never played before - do others recommend? I think I read this had performance issues at launch - does anyone know if they have been improved/sorted since?

@abe_hikura nope. only the island map is available right now. wildcard is a mess with their delays and excuses.

I've never played ARK but after Palworld had me I think I'll enjoy this kind of thing. Is it multiplayer only or can I play single player fully?
I remember getting the game years ago and ...was glitchy as hell...dinosaurs flying around that shouldn't be flying
Downloaded this version might give it a try to see what it's like
I'll see if Diablo gets its hooks into me first.... if not I'll definitely give this a try.
@StylesT So I did try this yesterday and I'm not sure about it. I didn't see flying dinosaurs that shouldn't fly, but I did see a few strange graphical anomalies like floating rocks and a dinosaur that was kind of hovering above water.... it spoiled the immersion for me.
