Update (Mon 11th Mar, 2024): Good news, folks! Microsoft has since confirmed it's just the two games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in early March, as Ni No Kuni has now been removed from the lineup.
Original story (Sat 2nd Mar, 2024): Microsoft has revealed the first three games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2024, which includes the beloved JRPG adventure Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, as well as the somewhat underrated snowboarding game, Shredders.
Here's the list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass on (or around) March 15th, 2024:
Xbox Game Pass: Leaving Soon (March 15, 2024)
Date | Game | Platform |
March 15 | Hardspace: Shipbreaker | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | Console, PC, Cloud | |
March 15 | Shredders | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, you can get a discount of at least 20% on each of these games until they're removed from Xbox Game Pass in a couple of weeks' time, and we'll drop a reminder about their departure dates when the time comes too.
Although it's always sad to lose games from Xbox Game Pass, it has a big month ahead of it - Diablo 4 will mark the first Activision Blizzard game to enter the service, and we've also got some other exciting additions on the way!

Hmmm not sure if I should start ni no kuni. I played it a bit on PS3 but it wasn't really my bag at the time. Also not sure if I can spend 60 hours on it over 13 days :/
Hmm I'm too deep in Tales of Arise to have another JRPG, so Ni No Kuni will be left.
Ship breaker I may give a shot before it goes.
(Ni) Nooooooo (Kuni)! This is a sad month for Game Pass. I truly love the Ghibli games.
I hope some people new to the series give it a chance before it leaves.
@ralphdibny
Same boat here. It was always "I'll give it another chance later" and here we are two generations later, haha.
@Lup ahhh, it's always the way!
I really liked Ni No Kuni! I don't like anime, only Miyazaki's style and this did not miss.
Really wish they would give us a solid month warning like PlayStation does. Even just 1 more extra week makes all the difference in finishing a game in time.
Ni no Kuni must be experienced by any JRPG fan.
I played both NNK in Game Pass, and completed the second one, which I liked it more, due to the kingdom management.
I beat the story of the first one, I'll try to rush the post-game before it leaves. Not a bad game at all, but I didn't like it as much as I expected.
I'm really looking forward to Diablo 4.
Damn. Been meaning to play ni no kuni for like ten years. Guess now when I finally play it, it’ll be on my neglected PS5.
@ralphdibny yeah I wish they’d give us more warning than two weeks. But I guess then they’d miss out on panic sales. Even playing a 20 hour game in two weeks can be tough depending on what one is already doing.
I wanted to try out Shipbreaker but with the current amount of games I'm playing I won't get round to it.
@jesse_dylan Xbox Wire article was updated that Ni No Kuni is now not leaving. So you’ll still get that chance.
@awp69 hey nice!! Thanks!! Unexpected.
