Now that Ubisoft's open beta for Skull & Bones has officially wrapped up, we can turn our attention to the team's full release - which is coming around faster than you might think. While the game's standard edition launches on February 16, you can actually go hands-on with the pirate adventure three days early on Xbox!
Yep, the Skull & Bones Premium Edition launches February 13th at midnight local time - which is just hours away here in the UK at the time of writing. Better yet, that version is also included in the Ubisoft Plus subscription service on Xbox, so if you're interested in playing early, you don't have to fork out for the expensive Premium Edition! Result.
This bumper edition of Skull & Bones contains some extra DLC and will soon be a part of the service alongside a bunch of other games including Assassin's Creed Mirage, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to name a few. Check out the full lineup down below:
Oh, and there's more. If you took part in last week's open beta you can carry your progress over to the full game using your Ubisoft account, so there's no messing about starting from scratch! If you did play the beta we'd love to hear your thoughts on it - we're gathering some feedback elsewhere on Pure Xbox ahead of the game's full launch.
Is now the time to give Ubisoft+ a go? Tell us if you're diving into the Skull & Bones seas down below!

Nah, I'll wait half a year or so to give this one more chance. Had some fun during beta, but progression and overall grind seemed too slow for me. Too many other games to finish first.
Ubisoft still hasn't out together a catalog worth getting Ubisoft+ IMO.
The thumbnail image of this article makes me sad that Assassin's Creed multiplayer never took off.
@InterceptorAlpha I disagree. I subscribed at the end of December to ubisoft+ and played through / finished the Avatar game along with most of the achievements then played through / finished the new Prince of Persia and most achievements. In the middle of this I also played 1/4 or more of Assasins Creed Mirage and raced a few dozen races in The Crew Motorfest all before my subscription was up.
Now on the release of Skull & Bones I have subscribed again and will play S&B, finish AC Mirage, dive back into Division 2 with the new major overhaul with TU20 and all DLC included. That's another thing I like about the service, these games are the ultimate editions with extra content.
Sure these games are on sale a few months down the road but for $40 I have played through alot of content and didn't have to wait for them to become dirt cheap.
@oopsiezz That's fine.
Ubisoft lost me when they ignored my and other testers about bugs we reported for Assassin's Creed Unity 1-1.5 years before release. They showed flagrant disregard and dropped one of their worst launches to date.
They coupled with the conelte disrespect they showed Ghost Recon and Rainbow six while turning Assassin's Creed into a RPG were just a few, additional, nails in the coffin.
The Crew was a absolute travesty and Avatar was hardly anything to write home about. After about a dozen hours in it, for free thankfully, I wish I had my time back. If I wanted to play a good Far Cry game I'd go back to playing 2 or 3 instead of Far Cry Pandora.
I will give Ubisoft that Fenyx was absolutely fantatsic. But even a broke clock is right twice a day. But someone how Ubisoft manage to make it just once after how they treated the IP post release.
I will give though: if you're someone that absolutely has to experience the epitome of mediocrity that Ubisoft has become, then yea, Ubisoft+ is alright. For me though, my time is limited so I don't waste any more time with them than necessary.
@InterceptorAlpha Still surprised they didn't do what EA did for EA Play on Xbox and include Backwards Compatible titles. It wouldn't sell much better, but it's still weird.
Let's be real - Ubisoft Plus is both the reason this game exists and why it's a full priced live service game. They needed something to potentially keep subs instead of people paying just to turbo through the newest AC or Far Cry game.
