Palworld has been a huge hit for developer Pocketpair since its big Xbox and PC launch last month, and the team has revealed some updated figures on how the game has been doing in the month-or-so since release.
Across Xbox and PC platforms, Palworld has managed to attract a whopping 25 million players in around a month - 15 million on Steam and 10 million on Xbox. Those are some huge figures and we're sure the studio is incredibly pleased with how the game's performing so far.
At the end of January, Team Xbox announced that it had been working with the developer to provide support for Palworld dedicated servers, which no doubt will come in incredibly useful with so many players wanting to play online.

Now THIS is a success. Congratulations to Pocket Pair and Xbox!
I watched a bit of a stream of this game, and just don't get the appeal. Glad others seem to be enjoying it though.
Since I started following Pure Xbox the trolls just keep coming. There was a spider dude the other day, then the train guy, the racoon buddy and now the alien one. They create a new account and start commenting the same stuff in every article. Now it's time to read "Helldivers 2, blah blah blah" until their mamas call them to get out of the basement and they delete the account again.
I mean, I guess I am not surprised since it's basically the Pokemon game for original Pokemon fans who grew up.
Yes, I am aware this has more in common with something like Ark in terms of gameplay than Pokemon.
What I mean is an open world game with roaming anime animals that fight with you that also runs on more powerful hardware. I know the recent Pokemon games tried this open-world approach, but from my understanding were poorly optimized and didn't live up to expectations (not a Pokemon fan, so I don't know)
@Foxx_64740 Most of them are the same people (upvotes and all), but Pure Xbox is doing an excellent job moderating.
@Foxx_64740 There's an IGNORE button for a reason. Makes it a much nicer experience, but a shame it's needed imo.
@themightyant well thanks for the information, I have never seen it until now. I'm definitely using it 😁
Not my kind of game and have not played it, but the wife wants to play it some day. I would be suprised if there was a bigger suprise hit all year
Worst thing about this game is that it’s out when i’m still playing Infinite Wealth. But it’s actually really good. Really enjoying it in co-op. Congrats on 25 million, dayum.
@themightyant The game is funny and you build stuff. Similar to Grounded and other survival games. I guess the crafting/basebuilding/shipbuilding aspect of Starfield is another comparison. You have objectives, crafting materials to collect, unlockable technology, and captured pals that can work on your base.
The pals have different fighting and assistance abilities. They also have different personalities and suffer real world ailments and exhibit behaviors (slacking off at work, lazy, ulcers, stressed out). When assigned to a camp, they automatically help you out.
That's the hook. The "Fauxkemon" and what you can do to them is kind of funny. The player works on their base & improving combat effectiveness. Slowly you realize there are a lot of layers the devs put in. I've seen photos/clips of people who are way ahead of me, and it is surprising the things you can do.
Any word on another xbox update? I found version 0.1.0.0 or whatever (initial release) worked better than the current version with a 4 in it. It's virtually unplayable now, often crashing just after boot up and walking a short ways.
I previously enjoyed the game and hope I can again soon. Just needs some fixin'
@Tott I just started it and liking it so far. They just released a beta, so I bet they're continuously working on the game and breaking a few things in the process 😅. It hasn't crashed yet but as I said I just started playing. I also want to play Final Fantasy XIV on Series X, so I don't know what I'm going to do, as time is limited!
