You might have seen conflicting reports about whether Palworld supports cross platform play between Xbox and PC or not, and we're here to tell you the answer is "yes" - as long as you're playing on Xbox and the Xbox PC app.
In other words, Steam doesn't work with this feature just yet (it's hopefully coming down the line), but you can play cross platform between Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass right now! Here's how to activate cross-play:
- Start a new World and make sure the multiplayer toggle is turned on
- Begin the game, go into the menu, and head over to "Options"
- Find your Invite Code (you can view it using the eye symbol) and give it to your friend(s)
- They can now go to "Join Multiplayer Game" from the main menu and enter the code
Palworld's cross platform functionality allows you to play the game with up to three other friends online, and they can be a mixture of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass users. Sadly the dedicated server option for Palworld on Steam (which allows up to 32 players in one server) doesn't work on Xbox yet, and there's no guarantee it ever will.
Anyway, hopefully this has been a useful guide to help you activate Palworld's cross-play on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass! If you have any issues, please let us know down in the comments below.
