We keep hearing how physical Xbox sales are becoming less and less of an importance these days, but fortunately we're still seeing some fantastic boxed editions for various games - including two of last year's very best Xbox titles.
The first of these is Sea of Stars, which is not only getting a standard physical version on May 10th (price TBD), but also an "iam8bit Exclusive Edition" including a retro-inspired game manual, collectible slipcase, collectible poster featuring original art and an oversized game map, digital version of the soundtrack, and more.
That collector's edition will be available in Q2 2024, and is available to pre-order now for $44.99.
"The retail edition features a double-sided poster with art from concept artist and illustrator Bryce Kho. Players who preorder the retail edition will receive a digital download of the game soundtrack, which includes all 200 tracks from Day & Night cycles, acoustic pirate band covers and over 10 tracks from guest composer Yasunori Mitsuda. The other game we're talking about here is Blasphemous 2, which quietly became one of the highest-rated Xbox games of 2023, and now it's officially getting an Xbox "Collector's Edition" bundle in early 2024.
This will include the boxed version of the game along with a steelbook case, a printed instruction manual, two CDs' worth of music, a printed game guide with over 60 pages of lore, an album of illustrations and much more!
