You don't get many new Xbox releases at this time of year, but one game we have seen over the past few days is The Spy Who Shot Me, which might entice those who like the sound of a low budget GoldenEye-style experience.
This is a game that's been available on PC for a few years now (where it holds a "Very Positive" rating), and it's described as a "comedy retro FPS inspired by classic shooters of the '90s". There are apparently around 20 levels complete with platforming and vehicle sections, and it's all built around some cheesy "spy/parody" humour.
The Xbox Store reviews for The Spy Who Shot Me are largely pretty good right now, but we are seeing one common complaint surrounding the imprecise aiming, which apparently wasn't an issue on PC. Hopefully this gets adjusted at some point for Xbox, because otherwise there's plenty of positivity surrounding this '90s style shooter.
Here are a couple of example reviews from the Xbox Store:
Asmo RPL on Xbox: "This really is an N64 Style Shooter, right down to the way it controls. There are a good 20 levels, each with their own hidden secrets and platforming sections. The game is nicely broken up with various hub worlds where you can chill between missions... All in all this is a great game which doesn't take itself too seriously and includes a plethora of comedic moments."
StunWar on Xbox: "Played this on PC previously so I already know it's a great game, but it currently has an odd aiming sensitivity curve that neither of the sliders in the options menu fixes. Makes it rather frustrating to play..."
If you fancy checking out The Spy Who Shot Me for yourself, it's only £6.69 / $7.99 on Xbox, so it won't set you back too much! We're definitely keen to give it a try, and hopefully those concerns about aiming will be addressed soon.
