Looking for another Xbox Game Pass title to get stuck into this month? Well, Devolver Digital has announced that its Game Preview release Phantom Abyss is moving to its 1.0 version on January 25th - where it'll remain an Xbox Game Pass offering for 2024.
The early access iteration has been in the Game Pass library for a while, but this full 1.0 launch will bring an overhauled adventure mode, a new 'Abyss' mode, 'Whip' changes and more to the multiplayer temple runner.
Following yesterday's bumper Game Pass roundup, it's starting to look like a great beginning of 2024 for the service. Anyway, down below is some more info on Phantom Abyss as it leaves early access, and you can check out the new 1.0 trailer up at the top of this article.
"Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them. Be warned, you only get one attempt at each temple and failure or settling for a lesser relic means you will never see that temple again..."
Jumping into a phantom abyss on Xbox Game Pass, then? Tell us what you make of this one down below.

@Kaloudz Yeah we've not had an update on SR2 leaving Early Access in a while tbh. The game's last update launched in November and that was only version '0.3.0', so the full release sounds a ways off yet. The next update is due in "early 2024" according to the devs.
Fun game. Always liked doing a run here and there every few weeks.
@Kaloudz
My feelings exactly.
Looking forward to giving this game a second chance.
