February 2022 brought the release of Elden Ring, February 2023 delivered the announcement of the game's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and now it's looking like that major expansion might finally arrive in February 2024! This game just seems to like Februarys, eh?
A new collaboration with accessory maker Thrustmaster appeared online earlier today — before quickly being scrubbed out of existence — that basically outed the release window for 'Shadow of the Erdtree'. The collab was seemingly supposed to highlight some new Elden Ring-themed controllers, but it also stated that the upcoming expansion will be "available February 2024" to coincide with the "Elden Ring anniversary".
Funnily enough, the promo also mentioned that another "major keybeat or new game expansion" was due sometime in 2025 - hinting that Shadow of the Erdtree might not be the last expansion for Elden Ring. FromSoftware hasn't officially announced anything beyond the game's first expansion for now.
At the time of writing this release window hasn't been confirmed, but it has a decent chance of being accurate considering it's an official collab that simply seems to have revealed a bit too much information a bit too early. We'll keep our eyes peeled in the coming days and weeks for official confirmation on when Shadow of the Erdtree is coming to Xbox.
Will you be buying this Elden Ring DLC? Let us know if you think it'll arrive next February!

I have to finish this game off completed all dark souls games a few times each but still have to knock this off I'm just after entering that main city just a bit after that flying giant with the spear by the steps of say I have loads more to go ha one thing I miss sometimes from dark souls is the straight forward path to go were Elden ring is just so vast
Please take my $$$$ immediately. Can't wait for this.
It's not, I swear they just recently announced that it's a ways off (maybe as a reaction to TGA speculations?). There's no way they would be releasing a huge DLC in February and saying it's a ways off, nor would that info be absent from TGA. To clarify, I would love for this to be true so we can play it asap, but I'm also fine with waiting so it ends up worth the wait.
Cuz the most repayable game needs more content. Just take my money already. Another playthrough of 160+hours needs doing.
I have never played a souls game like this other than the first one on 360. I found it terrible frustrating not becuase of it being hard although I am sure that had something to do with it. I just couldn't handle the confines of the map. Is this different i any way is the difficulty pretty brutal?
Also I have read snippets here and there it seems other players can invade your game is that to help or hinder you and can it be turned off? I do not care if its hard I understand someone relishing that stuff I am just wondering if its anything like the just cause/farcry/bethesda open world games?
Please please please be true
