We often like to highlight new releases at Pure Xbox that may have gone under the radar a little bit but are nevertheless attracting a particularly positive reception, and November 2nd's The Talos Principle 2 is definitely one of those.
This "thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience" is obviously a sequel to the 2014 original (which arrived on Xbox in 2018), featuring an interactive story with multiple endings as part of a sublime, mind-bending adventure.
And yes, The Talos Principle 2 has received some fantastic reviews so far. In addition to the "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam and five-star rating on the Xbox Store, the game also holds a Metacritic score of 88.
So, if you're a big fan of puzzle games and you liked what the first Talos Principle had to offer, you're in very good hands with the sequel. It's available now on the Xbox Store for £24.99 / $29.99.
Here's a bit more information about The Talos Principle 2 along with a few screenshots:
"The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges."
Born into a new world where biological humanity is extinct but human culture lives on in a city of robots, you find yourself swept up in a mind-bending adventure involving a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers."

I bought this as soon as it was available. I've played through the first game twice (once on the PC, and then again on the Xbox).
Unfortunately, I'm part way through Alan Wake 2 right now, so I've not been able to dive in, though I'm really looking forward to doing so... 😊
Definitely picking this up, loved the first one and it's fun to play through with a partner helping you figure things out.
Also brought day one as I'm a big fan of the original. It's really flipping good, I'm about 50 percent in according to the stats and I've loved everything I've seen so far.
If you are contemplating picking up and you enjoy puzzle games you really can't go wrong.
Also don't be fooled by its cheaper price it's very well made and looks gorgeous as it uses UE5 with nanite and lumen global illumination 👍
Have been interested in this but it’s also 72 GB! Pretty enormous for a puzzle game. So it’ll have to wait until I finish a few of the heavy hitters.
I too enjoyed the first one immensely. It was visually stunning and some of the puzzles presented a real challenge. My only beef with the first was after a while the puzzles felt a bit stale. Hoping for a tad more diversity in this one but will definitely pick it up.
