Here's what the Director of Publishing at Larian Studios had to say about this on Twitter yesterday:
"The Xbox retail version, which plays across 3 discs, will ship with Patch 5 on disc. Which is really good news. These things have lead times, as you know. Working on the exact version for PlayStation 5."
In terms of what Patch 5 actually includes, we're still in the dark about most of it - aside from a few fixes to deal with things like slowdowns. If you're interested in finding out more, Larian will be sharing a "community update" very soon:
It's worth keeping in mind that the physical Deluxe Edition won't be shipping until early 2024, whereas we're hoping we'll get a December 2023 release date for the digital version by the end of next week. Patch 5 will obviously be included for digital purchasers as well, and we're assuming it'll be available around day one of the Xbox release.
