There's some big news on the Ubisoft front today, with the company revealing in its latest financial report that it has delayed a "large game" that was scheduled to launch early next year.
While there's no specific title mentioned, there are suggestions it's the anticipated Star Wars Outlaws game by Massive Entertainment. Whatever it is, this large-scale title will now arrive in the next fiscal year so Ubisoft can "maximize its value creation":
"The Company has decided to launch this other large game in FY2024-25, so as to maximize its value creation.”
Ubisoft originally lifted the lid on Star Wars Outlaws earlier this year with a world premiere including direct gameplay footage in a follow-up video.
Since then, there have been no updates about this project. What we do know is it will be coming to Xbox Series X and S. Here's what else you can expect from this adventure where you take on the role of an "emerging scoundrel" known as Kay Vess:
"Experience the first-ever open world Star Wars™ game, set between the events ofThe Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. Risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted."
