Want to enhance your Xbox Game Pass experience? Come join the official Pure Xbox Game Club!
We can't take any credit on staff for this — the PX Game Club is the work of ralphdibny, Balta666 and the rest of the contributors over at the Pure Xbox forums, who have established a community that meets up every month to play a game on Xbox Game Pass and share their experiences. Games are voted on every month by the contributors involved.
The game for October 2023 is Amnesia: Collection, which is actually a bundle of three spooky titles that was added to Xbox Game Pass this time last year for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
You'll find the forum thread to get involved below (it has over 2,800 entries to date!):
If you're interested in what kind of discussion goes on, here's what a couple of contributors had to say about last month's Pure Xbox Game Club title, Gris:
- Balta666 on Pure Xbox:
"Gris is both gorgeous and with an amazing soundtrack (specially the muffled sounds while under water) however I was happily surprised to find that the gameplay is very enjoyable and always changing.
On the other hand I find the "storytelling" really strange as if not for a couple of secret achievements off the beaten path I would not have a clue about the meaning of it."
- LtSarge on Pure Xbox:
"Just finished Gris. I think it took me around 3 hours and it was honestly the perfect length. Fun, artistic game that constantly does something that you won't expect. The artstyle was absolutely gorgeous, like a water painting come to life."

@ActionPanther damn that's pretty crazy.
Do you value the sub higher than microsoft or sth 😂
I feel like they've had a pretty good mixture of indie and AAA since the start of the year
@ActionPanther that is the main objective of the club! Let me know if you want to be added to the list so you can vote and know how things work around there.
@ActionPanther you seem like the kind of person who only plays AAA games. The Indies and AA of Game Pass are excellent. Have you played any of the older AAA titles?
@ActionPanther Have you tried Hi Fi Rush or Sea of Stars yet? Both are hands down my 2 favorite games on GP this year with starfield being 3rd.
@FraserG
I wanted to say thank you for the game club.
I’m not able to do it every month, but in August you guys played Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Well, I never played an Ori game and I am not a fan of 2D platformers in general. But I thought I’d try out Ori and started with the original.
Before I knew it, I was hooked. Everything in it, the characters, the music, the environments and the gameplay were all magical. I didn’t just finish the game, but I 100% completed the game.
I now have Ori and the Blind Forest listed as one of my favourite games of all time and I even bought the Ori collection on the Switch so I could have a physical version of both games in my collection. My kids have also played it after watching me play. And my brother might be getting it as a present in the future, also. But don’t tell him. 😅
I’m saving Will of the Wisps for a bit later so I can spread out my Ori adventures but I’m sure it will also be just as amazing.
Ori was truly a magical game that I likely would never have experienced if it wasn’t for the Game Club.
So, truly, thank you.
I picked this game up on sale a few years ago, but man I have a hard time getting into it. Maybe I'll try to do this game club thing. At least I'd have someone to commiserate with.
@XxEvilAshxX would be great to have you on board. You can search for the club in the forum's section and comment as you like. If you want to get in the club in a monthly faction and vote for the games I can add you to the tag list so you know the timings. Either way is fine. Cheers.
@ActionPanther it looks like gamepass may not be for you. It may be wise to just subscribe the month something you're looking forward releases.
@Kienda I'm delighted the Pure Xbox Game Club led to such a magical experience for you with Ori and the Blind Forest, but please don't thank me! I'm just the messenger here 😅
Organisers @ralphdibny and @Balta666, and everyone who contributes to the club - they deserve all the plaudits.
👏👏
@FraserG 🫡 thank you for the shout out!
@Balta666 @ralphdibny Yeah, thank you! I haven't been as engaged with the club as much as I would want to (due to time constraints), but it is great and I love the Club!
