Phil Spencer and the Xbox leadership team have wasted no time in the wake of Microsoft's huge Activision Blizzard deal. Shortly after the Xbox owner acquired the mega-publisher, Phil & co. have been to visit King Games - the team behind the mobile hit Candy Crush.
As posted to Twitter, King has rolled out the red carpet and given Xbox a "sweet welcome to the Kingdom" this week. Here are some of the pictures from that visit - taken from both King's London and Stockholm offices:
The acquisition of King specifically is perhaps going under the radar somewhat - at least within Xbox circles. The team is absolutely huge in the mobile space; an area that Microsoft has been keen to grow its gaming business in the coming years.
Anyway, we hope Phil and the rest of the team have enjoyed their visit - and we hope some productive chats have been had about the future of Xbox & Activision Blizzard King.
What do you make of Xbox's purchase of King specifically? Leave your thoughts down below.

Kings games are huge on mobile.
I have friends, mainly female who play thier games on daily basis. In some cases have played the same game for years and have levelled up many thousands of times.
I'm pretty sure these gaming giants king and Xbox have a lot to learn from one another.
@Nic-Noc20th-C no no no,keep that crap away from my xbox,my nan plays that garbage.
No thanks just keep this rubbish away from us
@Mephisto2869
1 persons garbage is another person's gaming gold!
Although I do not play Candy Crush I do appreciate how popular the game is.
This is part of the future of Xbox.
Curious if Candy Crush will see an Xbox release someday in some capacity.
For those lamenting the visit, just remember that Microsoft doesn’t have much space in mobile gaming currently and it’s the place where the Xbox brand has the most learning to do. While I can be critical of Phil from time to time, that vision of a larger ecosystem where gamers of all kinds can embrace their gaming experience on whatever platform they prefer is fully in place here. The more people playing and the more diverse the community is, the more opportunity there is for the brand to succeed in other avenues as well as the most lucrative.
@Nic-Noc20th-C thank god I have a ps5 as well, if this is the future of xbox
@somnambulance yeah I dont care how well xbox does in the mobile market ,just like I dont care how well Sony does in it, just want them to make great console games.
It's almost unbelievable how a small team, a simple game inspired by other simple games can move billions worldwide year after year.
@Mephisto2869 Mobile gains can help fund console titles, plain and simple. They’re not got me either, but, as long as it helps strong console titles being made, I can endorse the sentiment.
@TanookiLeaf I wouldn't call them garbage but think for a moment, a puzzle game, inspired by so many puzzle games that came before it, is making billions yearly! Meanwhile, huge games that have been crafted carefully, struggle to find their audience.
@Nic-Noc20th-C no thanks xbox is doomed then
@TanookiLeaf everyone lol
@Moonglow I reiterate, I dont care ,see how short and to the point my comment was.
@somnambulance I can understand that in sonys case, they've been in the mobile gaming scene for years, but ms has just spent 69 billion, so they're not short of a couple of a quid, could they not have used that to make games with? Also let's hope ms don't take a leaf out of Kings book,there whole business model is based on microtransactions, no thankyou.
@Moonglow well no I don't like those games either ,you talk like people don't have a choice ,I just don't buy those types of games,you have a very sad idea of what you believe gaming is turning into.
@Nic-Noc20th-C Yes it is, but not so much Candy Crush coming to Xbox, it would be more along the lines of King helping Xbox put more games onto mobile.
@Moonglow Will this now be good news for Royal Games, Royal Games even had Candy Crush on the gaming site?
@Nic-Noc20th-C King has a main portal called Royal Games which sadly got closed two years ago but strangely all the gamers profiles are still there and are still able to log in, do you think Royal Games has any hope in being revived with Microsoft now?
@Nic-Noc20th-C honestly King was the most exciting part of the merger for me. A foot into mobile with one of the biggest cash cows and access to a rather large player base that normally xbox ignores. Lots of potential there.
