The action RPG Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently celebrating its seventh anniversary, and as part of this, Bandai Namco has announced it will be bringing the game to Xbox Series X|S.
There's no exact date just yet, but it's scheduled to arrive at some point in 2024. Apart from this, Bandai Namco also announced "big free update", and it's out today. It includes a new event, a new battle mode, and various other content.
This will be followed by new DLC, the Xbox upgrade, and "more" content in the future. Below is the full roadmap. You can also see a teaser trailer above.

Why? Fighter Z is the better Dragonball Fighting Game anyway
Well this is super exciting. Been waiting ages. This is the best multiplayer Dragon Ball game since the PS2. Kakarot is amazing as well, but is only single player.
Will.this he a free update for those that already own it though is the big question. Likely to start a new character for this, something I don't typically do.
Why not folks? This isn’t a traditional fighter, it’s an action RPG more in line with Monster Hunter and appeals to an entirely different crowd. This is the best type of support, now if only they’d roll out a cross-play update to improve matchmaking.
@Wilforce
Why not just make a third one why release a big update for an ancient game? It came out 7 years ago...might just be time to make a new one
@ZuneTattooGuy What more is there to be had than expand the base storyline? I’d rather buy a game once and experience a decade of content than buy a new version every year.
@Wilforce
Not saying it has to be every year, but once every seven? Sure I would mind a new take on the concept with improvements to game engine
@ZuneTattooGuy To be honest I’m surprised it’s received as much support as it has. There are a lot of dated elements, but truthfully - the way Bandai develops their anime games this is probably the best choice since they are all basically the same with only the characters changed.
