EA is now officially the WRC license holder, and the company's first release from developer Codemasters is almost here. EA Sports WRC arrives for Xbox Series X|S on November 3rd, and Game Pass members can try the game out for absolutely free - starting today!
Yep, thanks to a new EA Play trial, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play five hours of EA Sports WRC today as part of their subscription. If you fancy dipping into this one ahead of the full release, you'll be able to "build the car of your dreams & unlock up to 5 cosmetics" during the trial.
Game progress carries over to the full game too, so if you decide to pick the game up after testing it out, your trial time won't have been a waste. As normal, EA Play / Game Pass Ultimate members can get 10% off new EA releases.
It's worth noting that eventually, EA Sports WRC will become a part of the full Game Pass / EA Play library, which is one neat bonus to the EA-owned team picking up the license from Nacon. It'll be a good few months down the road for that, but still, you'll be able to continue from where you left off during the trial period if you can hold out for the full Game Pass release!

Nice surprise, will definitely give it a go this afternoon! Thanks for the info!
@redd214 No problemo! I'll be giving it a go too if I get the chance.
Won’t download for me 🙄 when I click on the free trial it just takes me to a “manage subscription” page.
Did the writer of this article actually try the trial or just look at the page on the shop?
Because this article is completely untrue, it SAYS the trial is available. But it isn’t.
@norwichred I didn't have access to a console at the time of writing! There's probably a slight issue/delay on EA's end, Xbox posted it as available yesterday on its Game Pass roundup: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2023/10/31/game-pass-november-2023-wave-1-announce/
