Some sad news has surfaced over the past few hours about the passing of the legendary actor Sir Michael Gambon, at the age of 82 after "a bout of pneumonia".
Gambon was perhaps best known in the modern generation of cinema as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series. On the video game front he voiced Varen Aquilarious, The Prophet from The Elder Scrolls Online series.
The official ESO account shared the following post in response:
"We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Michael Gambon, the voice of Varen Aquilarios, The Prophet. Our sympathies and condolences are with his family, loved ones, and the many lives of those he touched."
"Farewell, Vestige. Walk in the light, always."
The same social account also shared a past video of ESO's voice cast reveal - where Gambon mentions how he thinks he had "the best role" and discusses how much video games have evolved.
On behalf of the community here at Pure Xbox, our thoughts go out to Sir Michael's family and friends during this difficult time.

Absolutely legendary actor and a genuinely funny guy. His appearance on Top Gear as the star in a reasonably priced car is comedy gold. A sad loss.
A genius of his craft. So very sad to hear this
One of those people you don't miss, until they're gone.
Rest in peace Prophet. Michael Gambon will always be a legendary actor!
Rip Sir Gambon, I always enjoyed his deep royal "posh" voice or should I say proper British.
