Xbox's Tokyo Game Show 2023 broadcast has now wrapped up, and one of the livestream's closing reveals was that bonkers horror title Hotel Barcelona is officially coming to Xbox next year.
First announced years ago but now properly unveiled, Hotel Barcelona contains "2.5D slasher film parodic action", and it's coming from two very famous Japanese game development minds. Swery65 (Deadly Premonition, D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die) and Suda51 (Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned) are teaming up to bring this chaotic action game to life.
Below are some in-game screenshots from Hotel Barcelona ahead of its 2024 release on Xbox Series X|S, and we've dropped the brand-new gameplay trailer up above.

Humanity isn't ready for a Suda51 and Swery65 collaboration. We will collectively descend into madness.
Any game by Swery catches my eye!
I am still waiting for Deadly Premonition 2 on XBOX, maybe one day.
Suda51 AND Swery65?
Well that pretty much confirms I won't know what the **** is going on.
You get Suda in at your showcase, and it's an instant 10/10. Simple as that!
This announcement made me scream. I heard rumours last week this project was dead in the water. But to not only see Suda and Swery here with the announcement that itis coming, but come through with the gameplay reveal, was unreal
Easily one of my most anticipated titles for next year.
No More Heroes is one of my favorite character-action series on Nintendo platforms and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die was one of the first games I bought when I got the Xbox One back in August 2014, and I ended up being a big fan of it. This game is easily one of the most intriguing ones for me now, hope it can live up to what these two guys have created in the past.
What did I just watch and why so I think I liked it?
