Last month marked the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale for 2023, and we mentioned at the time how Call of Duty had essentially taken over the "Top Paid Games" list as a result, with many of the series' Xbox 360 titles selling very well.
That's now translated to the official UK gaming charts for July 2023, which saw 2009's Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 climb into the top ten above the likes of Hogwarts Legacy, F1 23, Minecraft, Diablo 4 and even the 2022 version of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Madness!
Unfortunately for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, they came in third place in the console charts for the month of July in the UK, with sales falling 12% compared to June. Altogether, their UK sales have been down almost 23% in 2023.

2009's MW2 besting 2022's MW2, as it should.
Werent xbox sales down 23% year over year for UK July? And this is the last month before the price hike i think
Hooray for backwards compatibility. I wanted to play Monkey Island 2 last week, and found out that the 360 Special edition is backwards compatable, and it's cheaper to buy on Xbox than Steam or GoG.
@Kaloudz Xbox one x enhance all the 360 call of duty’s and they will sell like hot cakes
And yet they refuse to start a new program for BC that excludes the XBO.
6 of the top 10 games are from previous generations. Just wow!
Gamers are flocking to BC and remasters way too much. I like that the games are still doing well, but frankly holding 6 out of 10 top spots is sad.
