Although the new Xbox Game Pass release of Sea of Stars might be hogging the spotlight today, we still wanted to bring another new launch to your attention in the form of Under The Waves, which is being published by Quantic Dream of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human fame.
Under The Waves is described as a "narrative-driven adventure game about the engulfing power of grief", featuring a "gorgeous underwater world" which is "brought to life in a poetic blend of cinematic visuals and poignant storytelling".
We're still waiting on most reviews for this one, but the Steam rating currently sits at "Positive" and the couple of Xbox user reviews we've seen have also had good things to say. If you're interested, it's £24.99 / $29.99 on the Xbox Store.
We'll throw some more details down below, along with 17 minutes of gameplay courtesy of IGN.
"Under the Waves is a narrative-driven adventure game about the engulfing power of grief. Set in the depths of the North Sea in a techno-futuristic 1970s, professional diver Stan is struggling to overcome a life-changing loss and embrace a new future. The isolation of the deep sea is a fitting manifestation of his state of mind, and as Stan retreads further into his self-imposed solitude, he starts to experience strange events far beneath the waves. He will eventually have to make a difficult choice..."

Man, I hope some reviews post of this one soon. I’m really curious about it.
Im a sucker for any underwater title, so cant believe this one slipped under my radar! My play list is looking rediculous already, but it looks like this will join the list too...

I like that this article was posted because I wasn't aware of the game and now I'm interested. Might have to check this one out. Thank you!
I just want Endless Ocean 3 and I'll never get it
Looks fantastic, I had it on my wishlist for a while. Really liked playing through Abzu and this might be a more grounded equivalent of that.
