So, Xbox has finally confirmed its gamescom plans for this year's show, and it sounds like the team is taking quite the lineup of games to the event. While Starfield and Forza Motorsport will be there in video presentation form, it's Stalker 2 we're most excited to see, especially because it's set to be fully playable on the show floor.
Yep, despite the relative silence surrounding the project in recent months, GSC Game World's sprawling post-apocalyptic shooter will be present and playable at Xbox's mammoth gamescom booth this year. And, the Xbox team is hosting multiple livestreams right from the booth, so there's a good chance we'll get to see some fresh gameplay at home too.
The last time we saw any real gameplay from Stalker 2 was in December 2022, when the team dropped its 'Heart of Chornobyl' trailer - which you can check out down below. In terms of a gameplay deep dive during an Xbox show, we haven't seen it since 2021's Xbox Games Showcase.
So, we're understandably pretty excited for its appearance at gamescom 2023 - we can't wait to go hands on with this one on Xbox! As far as we know, the game still has a rough launch window of 2023, but if we don't get a more specific date soon, we'd expect to see this Xbox Game Pass title slip into 2024.
