If you were a fan of the 2019 shooter Terminator: Resistance, or you're simply interested in checking it out for the first time, then you'll be happy to know that it's getting a "Complete Edition" for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S!
This version, launching on October 27th, will feature all previously released content including the Annihilation Line narrative expansion and Infiltrator Mode (both debuting on Xbox for the first time), along with an enhanced edition of the main game. The upgrades will include improved framerates, higher graphical fidelity and faster load times.
If you already own the Xbox One version, there's extra good news for you as well! Current owners will be getting the enhanced version of Terminator: Resistance along with Infiltrator Mode on September 27th, while those who wish to upgrade to the full "Complete Edition" experience will be able to do so at the reduced price of £11.99 / $14.49.
Finally, here's a bit more information about the special Collector's Edition available at select retailers:
"In addition to the Standard Edition of Terminator: Resistance - Complete Edition, a Collector’s Edition will also be available at select retailers, which comes with a SteelBook®, Mini Hardcover Comic, a Collector’s Box and five A6 Postcards featuring beautiful illustrations of your fellow comrades. This includes a postcard with never-before-seen artwork of Jessica Baron, tough-as-nails Commander of the Resistance South Division."

Finally. This really turned me off the dev when the upgrade was only for PS5. Honestly did not expect it would ever come with all the time that’s past. Probably want to patch things up with Xbox owners before Robocop comes out.
However, those on Series S who bought the Disc version on XB1 are NOT eligible for the upgrade option as they can't put a Disc into the Series S to verify you have a 'Licence' to play. So be aware if you own the disc and a Series S.
@BAMozzy Yes, that's very true.
Has anyone played the DLC? Is it worth paying for the upgrade in order to get it?
I take it the DLC is not being sold separately, @FraserG?
Hmm. I've got the disc version somewhere. Must load this back up for a playthrough. I think it got 'parked' when something better came out
@Fiendish-Beaver Haven't seen anything about that yet.
About time the Xbox version got full parity, I've been holding off on this because of its incompleteness. Now if only Furi would do the same.
Nice! I was this close to buying the enhanced edition on PS5 even though I already have the XBO version. It's on sale right now and I was waiting for the weekend to buy and play it.
Okay. Thank you, @FraserG. Then it becomes a question of whether the DLC, in and of itself it, is worth the fee of £11.99. I enjoyed the base game, and would happily play through it once again...
If you're a Terminator fan this is the dream game, very underrated and a love letter to the series.
I've wanted to play this game for ages, still waiting for a sub $20 price point. In other news, as a fan of another amazing franchise, Aliens Dark Descent is my personal game of the year. Until Starfield perhaps.
@Kaloudz It's very good. I don't think it's canon though. It does start off a little slow but bear with it as it will be worth it once it kicks into high gear. The last third of the game was absolutely nuts.
@TJ81 It's been sub $20 multiple times on the Xbox store. I believe I paid about $15 for it.
@Acurisur I have to pay closer attention I guess although I have been waiting on the Series X upgrade. Really happy to hear it satisfies fans of the franchise.
Does it make the AI less horrendous?
@AndroidBango Was is a Colonial Marines situation where a single typo, discovered years after release, was the reason the AI behaved like hotdog water?
Is this an online multi-player or can it be played offline single player?
@Spider-Kev
I bought and finished it earlier this year: Single-player campaign, no online Xbox live connection needed
@awp69
Yeah, Teyon definitely doing it before their new RoboCop: Rogue City.
@Kaloudz
I own all Movies, the TV Show and Terminator: Resistance on Xbox. They all go well together, I recommend the whole lot, it's my favorite Franchise of all time.
@Kaloudz half the movies aren't even Canon now, lol.
@SAH77777
awesome, thank you!
@SAH77777
I named my son Kyle because of The Terminator.
@Spider-Kev
Was it fate? No, No fate but what you make!
@NeutronBomb
These ones work in order: T1, T2, Game (Terminator: Resistance), then finally TV Show (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) or Dark Fate
Might just be me but I didn't even know this game existed until I saw this article. I'll have to check out some game play and see if I like it before I decide to pull the trigger on it.
@Kaloudz
The TV show cliffhanger is a 'soft cliffhanger', so go for it, I actually like the hopeful ending of Season 2.
@PartyMarty
It's good, good diverse plot and enemies, including flying skynet drones, and has original-ish soundtrack. The Polish devs (Teyon) did a good job! I'm looking forward to RoboCop: Rogue City.
Solid “old school” fps with some modern touches. Made for fans. Experience the future as seen in the movies. Starts slow but gets a lot better after the first third. Weapon modding is interesting. The end game has all the franchise action feels. Interesting story with all the characters makes it more compelling and choices do matter to them and outcome.
***potential minor SPOILER***
Ive seen all the movies and the one thing I wish I knew before playing is that we knew (unless I missed it somewhere) ***last chance to not read potential spoiler*** this is a prequel to the first movie and tells that story leading up to it.
@Kaloudz
Yeah, you're all good, Season 2 ends well/softly I think. In fact, it ends in such a state that they couldn't probably afford a Season 3 (too much expensive CGI needed/hard for 2009)
@Kaloudz
I bought it on iTunes and have watched the show 3x over now. It's that good, and Lena Headey is excellent in her early days also. The actor playing John Connor is also really good
@SAH77777 thank you for the recap, sounds good to me!
@Kaloudz
Many years (like 10) after T2, John Conner is near the end of High School
@Kaloudz
Cool!, and like others said starts slow as a 'scavenging resistance rat' but becomes really epic in the last half.
@Kaloudz
Oh, realized just now that you were probably talking about the TV Show, so still cool! If you liked episode 1, then is only stays the same quality (maybe even gets better!) as it goes along, and the end of the short season 1 is really epic!
