We're kicking off our "Pick One" feature slightly earlier than usual this weekend, and this time around we want to know what your favourite Xbox Game Pass addition was in June 2023!
Looking back at the month, it was at somewhat quiet few weeks for the service, but we did receive some great titles such as Amnesia: The Bunker, Dordogne, Need For Speed Unbound, Bramble: The Mountain King and others.
So, what was the best Xbox Game Pass addition in June? Remember you can only pick one!
Let's take a look at what we're working with:

Only one I played was car mechanic simulator. Somehow they made the game harder and less fun than working on a real car.
Friends of Mineral Town might be downloaded in a couple months, if they don't remove it by then.
None of them, to be honest. Not the best month we've ever had.
Thought it was a great month…lots of fun games if you tried them… stay away from Hypnospace Outlaw - unplayable for me… loved FIST and the big con….
Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer for me
Slayers X is pretty fun. Honestly I'm still mostly playing Railway Empire 2 from last month.
I beat Amnesia, it was really disappointing. NFS unbound was fun.
As a new user I'm catching up with the big hitters. I'm enjoying Vampire Survivors, HiFi Rush greatly and am about to hop in Battlefield for the first time in years. No time for the Junies. I'd play Story of Seasons - but I still have my original on the GBA SP -which still looks far superior to this new version. If I didn't I'd be playing that.
The offering of GP the last few months has been really lacking…especially comparative to what Sonys been offering on their psplus extra sub - this month far cry 6, and next month call of duty black ops Cold War (funny)
I remember start of the month being told just wait till after the showcase, they’ll be an influx of quality and big titles… I don’t know what happened there. A need for speed game that’s released for the benefit of EAPLAY?
I think MS needs to start stepping it up a gear. Starfield, and the end of the distraction of abk court cases, can’t come soon enough
I played an hour or two of NFS and it just didn't click with me. I might go back to it, as I really like the graphical style, but it didn't win me over.
Same with Bookwalker. I thought the controls were just terrible, so I gave up after one book.
I finished Dordogne. Light in gameplay but absolutely worth playing for the art. It looks beautiful.
And I finished Bramble today. I thought it was excellent. VERY dark at times, but a lot of fun for a few hours. Recommended.
Hypnospace Outlaw is a repeat, but I voted for it because otherwise it was a nothing month for me. I want to try Dordogne, but there’s too many other games out right now
@somnambulance my two daughters are playing Dordogne together and are really enjoying the simple gameplay. I am enjoying watching bits of it now and then because the watercolor art and French atmosphere is so well done.
Looking at this list only highlights just how bad game pass has been recently.
I appreciate everyone will have different gaming tastes, but the only game on there that I have a remote passing interest in is Need for Speed, and even that is only there courtesy of EA Play.
Never thought I'd say it but Sony's PS Extra is absolutely killing it at the moment
@Cashews hmm… I wonder if my son would try it out.
NFS Unbound does take a while to get going, making everyone grind for ages just to get to the good cars was a mistake imo, in a time when we have Forza Horizon giving us a car every time we sip a beverage.
Still enjoying it though.
I'd urge people to try FIST., and I thought NFS underground was a decent offering, but it lost me after a few game weeks. Typically I'd bought both these titles on another platform, so I didnt play on gp, but I appreciated that they were good offerings!
Theres another couple here I might enjoy, but I only stopped playing Zelda to play FF16, so Im not short of games I enjoy atm.
Im slightly concerned that gp seems to have cut the number of titles offered each month, over 20 titles a month used to be regular, and that meant there was more likely to be something you wanted in the list, but it still remains good value. If the other service now has excellent titles too, we can thank GP for making sure they raised their game to compete (i was subbed to PS now since inception and believe me, it never used to as good as the current service is now).
I have no idea were you all get the time to play every game, as well as your own purchases. I say this without malice as I attained 12,000 gamerscore last month and my backlog of gamepass stuff isnt particularly shrinking.
Anyhow, quite glad there was a slight lull. Last month had some amazing games. Just finished planet of lana tonight , brilliant ending and will grab the remaining two collectible trophies tomorrow. Then work towards finishing the 21 gundam sd chaos missions. Once they are both done I can start playing arcade paradise and maybe one of last months gamepass games.
I did play 'the big con' for about 2 hours. Super weird game. I wouldn't recommend.
