Star Wars Jedi: Survivor hasn't had the smoothest launch across all platforms, but fortunately Respawn has been able to deliver a major update. The first patch for the game includes a series of fixes for Xbox Series X|S as well as PC.
On Xbox Series X, the installation file is around 140GB, and this patch update is 7GB. In this update multiple crashes have been resolved, there's been performance improvements, and all sorts of other fixes resolving problems like collision, render, and save issues.
EA and Respawn have acknowledged the problems and are committed to fixing all issues as soon as possible. They'll also continue to monitor performance across all platforms moving forward.
"We are hard at work on patches that will further improve performance and fix bugs across all platforms. There are more updates to come across all platforms, and we will share that timing when it is available."

So this couldn’t be on the same day as release ? Or they couldn’t simply wait one week to release the game after most beat it already
My physical copy arrived yesterday (as I only preorder after reviews) and I decided to return it instead as I don't want to pay 68€ (after 15% off) for a buggy mess. I will come back later for a better game (and pricetag)
@TheSimulator I'd imagine the devs would've loved an extra week or two, but that's not how this works. I think from what I've heard, the devs were pushed pretty hard on this one, and we ended up with poor performance, and a terrible PC version.
I think that gamers have been hired by developpers to do the play testing for their games but they are not paid to do it, instead they pay 80$ to play broken games and wait for the patches to resolve the problems we have discovered on their games. They wait that digital foundry do their job then release patches. But they can't count on me to do this since I wait for patches and sale before buying games.
@riccyb0y so it's Force Unleashed 2 and Kotor2 all over again?
Does this install automatically? Because I don’t see it…
@Sam_TSM Yeah it would be unwise to launch the same time as the new Zelda game and Hogwarts Legacy which will probally sell more than both of them combined on last gen is out on Friday.
@Sam_TSM Yeah the PS5, Series X and PC version launched on Feb 7th, but the last gen versions of PS4 and Xbox One are out on friday and they could even sell more than the insane amount it sold on next gen only. I work for a company that sells video games and we have a signficant amount of pre orders for PS4.
