We've got another day one release to add to the list for Xbox Game Pass in 2023, as Farworld Pioneers has just been announced as launching with the service on May 30th, available for Xbox One, Series X, Series S and PC.
Farworld Pioneers is an open-world, sci-fi sandbox in which how you play is up to you!
Here's a bit of explanation about this:
"An open-world, sci-fi sandbox. Explore alone or with friends in multiplayer, build and manage colonies on alien planets and recruit AI survivors with unique personalities and skills. Craft, build, mine and farm together, or strap an electric death rifle to your back and take on the galaxy!"
"In this open-world galactic sandbox, how you play is up to you! Bring your friends into the frontier in your own private server, or make new friends (and enemies) in large public multiplayer servers. Play peacefully in co-op, or use the dynamic multiplayer faction system to band together and split apart dynamically as allegiances change."
We don't know about you, but that sounds pretty fun to us! If you're interested in trying it out ahead of time, Farworld Pioneers already has a PC demo on Steam, and impressions so far seem to be pretty good.
You'll find some extra details about the game below, along with a selection of screenshots:
"Mine, farm, and manage resources, fend off otherworldly wildlife, and establish a colony after shipwrecking on a mysterious planet. Whether alone, with friends, or against other survivors in online multiplayer mode with up to 32 people per server, gear up for the long haul and equip anything from handcrafted grenades to laser guns to thwart enemy raids in physics-based combat. Survive the oddities of forbidden space in a vibrant, pixelated open world from the minds of former Rimworld and Starbound artists and developers."
