You've probably heard about survival horror game Sons of the Forest by now - it's been getting a lot of attention ever since its early access release on PC back in late February, and we may be seeing it on Xbox in the future.

The game, which sees you playing either alone or with friends as you struggle to survive by crafting, building, fighting and much more, has already racked up over 60,000 reviews on Steam with a "Very Positive" average rating.

And speaking to GamingBolt recently, developer Endnight Games had the following to say:

"We would love to come to console in the future, but are currently focused on delivering the best experience possible to PC players."

The immense success that the game has already achieved on PC means those console wishes are almost certainly going to come true for Endnight Games, but as mentioned, PC is definitely the focus for now. Sons of the Forest is still in an early access state, and will remain that way for at least six to eight months.

It's perhaps best to pick up the game for PC (if you've got the option) in the meantime, then, but it sounds pretty hopeful that we'll be playing it on Xbox at some point in the future. Maybe a 2024 release? We'll keep our fingers crossed...

"Sent to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, you find yourself in a cannibal-infested hellscape. Craft, build, and struggle to survive, alone or with friends, in this terrifying new open-world survival horror simulator."

"Experience complete freedom to tackle the world how you want. You decide what you do, where to go and how best to survive. There are no NPC's barking orders at you or giving you missions you don't want to do. You give the orders, you choose what happens next."
