Want to enhance your Xbox Game Pass experience? Come join the official Pure Xbox Game Club!
We can't take any credit on staff for this — the PX Game Club is the work of ralphdibny and the rest of the contributors over at the Pure Xbox forums, who have established a community that meets up every month to play a game on Xbox Game Pass and share their experiences. Games are voted on every month by the contributors involved.
The game for March 2023 is Atomic Heart, which is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, PC and via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It was arguably the biggest Xbox Game Pass release of last month!
You'll find the forum thread to get involved below (it has over 2,380 entries to date!):
If you're interested in what kind of discussion goes on, here's what a couple of contributors had to say about last month's Pure Xbox Game Club title, Hi-Fi RUSH:
- NintendoByNature on Pure Xbox:
"Well, I finished the game tonight. I can honestly say it's one of my very favorite games... Ever... had such a phenomenal time with it, even with the little quirks on the QTE. Absolutely amazing from start to finish, and I hope everyone gives this game a shot past the first hour. Once you get over that hump it's smooth sailing."
- themightyant on Pure Xbox:
"Another game and another rollercoaster journey. I really, really liked this game, and at times I thought I might love it, I loved bits of it, but ultimately there was just enough to put me off along the way."

…a bunch of hooligans, every last one of them! How dare they dictate what I play in March!
NOTE: Joke (I contribute to the discussion, too)
I got into this game last night, and I guess I could describe it as Bioshock Infinite meets Borderlands 3. I say that because it has the same sort of world building as that Bioshock, with all the excessive and cringe dialogue of Borderlands 3. Now don't get me wrong, I have been having fun with it, and there's a lot of things that I like about it, but the main character and all the character dialogue is not among them. It's like throughout the game they just keep carrying on and on and on, and the main character just comes off as one of those antihero types that has become so common these days who is whiny, constantly has an attitude problem, that is just generally hard to like or connect with.
That all said, I think they did an amazing job on the world though. It truly is something to behold, and you do feel like you have been transported to an alternative reality with all sorts of fun and interesting inventions and architecture. The voice acting could be a lot better, I mean nobody has a Russian/eastern accent despite it being based in an alternative soviet union, but I hear the Russian voice acting supposedly fixes that, so maybe I'll check it out so the game can have some more immersive authenticity, especially considering how I don't care for half the dialogue anyways.
I like Atomic heart 10rs in enjoying the setting gameplay and story

It was a great discussion this month with a wide range of views. Several people thought Hi-Fi Rush was one of their favourite games ever, at least one gave up early on (not every game is for everyone, that's cool), and several of us were positive but somewhere more in the middle.
Always enjoy sharing these experiences of this hobby we love.
So I played it a lot more, changed the voice acting to Russian, and it's amazing how much that transformed my entire outlook on the character and all the dialogue. No joke it feels like the change in language changed the main characters entire personality, he just sounds more serious and focused compared to how he sounded in English, and it makes all the dialogue a lot easier to deal with, as it's now a situation where I only need to pay attention when I want to. Considering how there's a good deal of reading and need for subtitles anyways, IMO this is definitely the way to go.
I also enjoy the game more than I thought I would at the early part of the game, now that I have powered up my abilities and firearms, the combat feels a lot better and more satisfying. I still got a few complaints here and there, but overall I have been really enjoying my experience, and I plan to actually keep at this one and beat it hopefully.
