We've got some unfortunate news to bring to you today, folks. Lince Works, the developer behind the Aragami series, is sadly closing its doors following 2021's Aragami 2.
The team took to Twitter yesterday to announce the closure, with their current project now winding down before development comes to a halt next month. Lince Works has recently faced logistical hardships, explaining that "the economic context was not favourable and we ran out of time."
The dev's last released project, Aragami 2, is currently a part of Xbox Game Pass and has been in the library since day one - back in September 2021. For now, the game and its online service will remain accessible, and the game is still on Game Pass at the time of writing.
"We want to assure you that Aragami and Aragami 2 will remain available across all platforms and store fronts and the online co-op will be accessible."
Did you play any of the Aragami series? Sad to see the dev go? Leave your thoughts down below.

I really dug both of these games, they were getting better as a team with each release, it’s a shame because they were getting it together very well at the end.
All these acquisitions going on and a great studio like this is left to die. Shame.
Shame to see them go, I only played Aragami 2 but it was fun. Hopefully the team members will all find work quickly.
Sadly what ends up happening when no one swoops in to buy a struggling studio.
Is Pure Xbox a troll site?
This game came out on PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, XS and the headline reads like Gamepass killed the studio. Does it feel off or is it just me?
Guess the bag wasnt big enough
@FirstNameMister That's an over-analysis if ever there was one. The headline just provides context to what game they're talking about (as most patrons of this site would have played it via Game Pass).
@Broosh ok so “multi platform Dev goes out of business, last game was various platforms including gamepass” doesn’t provide more clarity? Maybe it’s me.
it's the sad reality of indie developers without funds they are unfortunately obligated to shut down it often happen during or after their second project weirdly, i hope they will find new indie teams to work with best luck to them i wish them to accomplish themselve in new projects around the globe.
i would love to see a remasters of two worlds on xbox series but unfortunetely the studio owning the right is also dead.
@FirstNameMister Catchy title...
@FirstNameMister title's long af brah, ain't nobody reading all that
