Respawn's upcoming Star Wars: Jedi sequel may have suffered a short delay to April 2023 recently, but it seems like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's marketing cycle is about to kick into gear anyway. We've only seen bits and pieces on the upcoming title since its reveal last May, but now IGN has it locked in for a month of preview coverage - starting with a brand-new gameplay video.
Yep, here's nine minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay to get stuck into before the game arrives for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on April 28th. Just like last month's Dead Space remake, EA seems to be going all in on current-gen for titles like this - Survivor isn't getting any sort of Xbox One or PS4 release.

We're glad of that fact as well, because it should mean that developer Respawn can really push the limits with its second Star Wars title. Here's a bit more on what to expect when the game hits Xbox in just a few short weeks:
"This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar.
As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?"

My most anticipated game of the year looks amazing! Can't wait for April. Although, due to the delay, it's going to have to fight for my attention when Tears of the Kingdom comes out.
It looks excellent and more importantly appears like they have addressed my (minor) criticisms with the first game (combat, fast travel and mini-map). If it can build off the first, and improve in those areas, then we are in for a treat!
Always had trouble with the combat in the first game. It felt sort of loose and wayward at times.
Maybe slightly uncontrolled.
Gotta free game-key with my new motherboard. Sweet!
@Dezzy70 The first one came bundled with One S I bought. It is strangely one of the very few games I never played past the first 2-3 hours. It ran very poorly on One S and for me it often felt like somebody took Uncharted and added some StarWars to it. No disrespect to people who loved it but never connected with this game.
That looks impressive...most impressive I got first Jedi game with my X1X and enjoyed it. Will probably get this for my XSX, but maybe not on release. If the Wife is reading this, my birthday is not too long after April
Day one for me !
it will be on EAplay on gamepass this time next year so i will play it then
Day one title for me. I loved the last title and felt that the combat in particular was rock solid. This looks great and has the potetial to be better than the first..
