The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version of Dragon Ball: Kakarot was supposed to launch all the way back in mid-January, but due to various issues, the release was postponed indefinitely a few weeks ago.
Well, we've got good news and bad news! The good news is that the next-gen version is finally now available for Xbox (along with the new DLC), but the bad news is that there's a workaround required in order to transfer your save data.
This workaround requires downloading a separate "(For Upgrade)" version of the game on the Xbox Store in order to access the save data from the Xbox One version, after which you can finally transfer it over to Xbox Series X|S.
The Bandai Namco website has a step-by-step instructions guide on how to do all this:
Despite these instructions, various people have suggested the workaround hasn't been effective for them so far. Bandai Namco previously advised that a patch for today (February 3rd) would be released alongside the workaround.
That said, some people do seem to actually be able to get access. Here's what one person had to say:
