Happy New Year! 2023 is officially here, and we're hoping the next twelve months are going to be extremely busy with new releases and Game Pass arrivals, including Starfield, Redfall and Forza Motorsport!
Much has been said about how quiet 2022 was at times for Xbox, although the likes of Pentiment and As Dusk Falls gave us some great first-party surprises, and Microsoft also spent pretty much the entire year trying to conclude the Activision Blizzard acquisition, which we're hoping will result in a large batch of new Xbox Game Pass titles in 2023.
In terms of us here at Pure Xbox, we added to the team with two new staff additions last year (Ben Kerry, Staff Writer / Craig Reid, Video Producer), and found ourselves producing over 3600 news articles, features, guides, reviews, talking points, polls and much more throughout the year. Again, we couldn't do any of this without your support, so thank you — and we look forward to bringing you much more content in 2023! Let's hope it's a good one...

Happy new year! And well done on the 3600 pieces in 2022! Very impressive.
This year on Xbox I’ll be looking to return to game pass for a month or two before Resi4 comes out, in that time I’m gonna attempt (and likely fail) to play Chained Echoes, Pentiment, Somerville, Atomic Hearts, Plaques Tale 2, Wo Long Fallen dynasty and whatever else takes my fancy.
Further on in the year I’ll no doubt play the new Forza (please don’t be delayed to 24!) and hopefully Starfield. The latter hasn’t impressed me too much but it is Bethesda, they’ve made some of my all time favourites so I’ll have to at least give it a shot. With luck it runs reasonable well on series s.

Happy new year all. Hopefully it wont be too long till the Activisionblizzard gets an answer as it is felt that this is causing delays in concentration from the important rhings. Supporting game development and improving gamepass.
If it doesnt go through thats another chunk of money that is available for other studios which possibly Sony might not throw their toys out the pram.
As previously mentioned lets hope that forza doesnt get a delay and we hear about avowed. All the best looking forward to microsoft studios the year ahead.

Happy new year to all gamers. I have a feeling 2023 will be a better Xbox year but it will be happening after the first half. I hope the GP titles before that will have good gameplay = Atomic Hearts (FEB) & Wo Long Fallen Dynasty (MARCH).
A lot of players will enjoy more Persona & Monster Hunter (not for me though). And what the GP surprises will be ...
Personally I'm waiting for FM8 so I hope no delays unless it's for the good of the game. At least we will hear & get more info about MS games scheduled for 2024

My two gaming predictions for 2023:
For all the moaning about 2022, I never had a shortage of things to play and my backlog is still here. I think console warriors just make way too much noise about exclusives. Well even those guys should be happy in 2023.
Happy New Year - the year in which Atomic Heart will surprise everyone. I just sense greatness in that game.

For me 2022 was a good gaming year with game pass and the series s , I hope 2023 will be as good . I like indie games and AA , I hope the promised AAA games from Microsoft will be good and that developers will stop making cross gen games and put all their efforts in the series generation so that we will finally see the true power of these machines.
