We've seen some weird and wonderful gaming merch over the years, but Microsoft might have just created the strangest Xbox accessory yet. In a surprising turn of events this week, the company has begun selling an incredibly useful Xbox accessory: mini hoodies for your controllers!
Is that much-loved special edition pad of yours getting cold this winter? Wrap it up in one of these bad boys:
As pictured, the hoodies come in two variants right now; black and white - although the black version is currently out of stock at the Xbox Gear Shop. Still, either colour would make for a pretty funny Christmas present, and we're tempted to order one to be honest!
We haven't seen these appear anywhere else yet, but we'll be keeping an eye out for the black hoodie to come in stock on the Gear Shop. Seriously, how cute are these things?! There's even a "drinkwear" Xbox hoodie as well!

Will you be wrapping your Xbox controllers up warm this Christmas? Let us know what you think of these down below.

Cute but I'd rather buy one for my body.
Literally anything other than games for the consoles. How about putting quake 4 back on the xbox like they should have already done years ago? I guess they havent thought of that. Theres another refrigerator coming out soon though.
@Stoneceltic I can’t agree more. I’m catching up on the PS first party titles at the moment.
@Stnkygrngo same, check the odd gamepass game like nfs now but lately been playing tlou, and boutta start ff7/gow/returnal.
They’re really good at making everything extra games. It’s getting quite old.
WTF? Definitely a gaming first, but seriously, who wants these?
I bet they are not cheap either - looks like a proper zip
Strange days..
I want these haha. But not for £22 each. I like how everyone thinks the game developers are the ones putting out these fridges and controller hoodies. Don’t get me wrong Xbox needs to pump out some games but none of this takes away from their development.
Another thing to chuck in the bin along with dolls and nail varnish. Or to keep your 🥒and⚽️⚽️warm.
@JON22 Just be careful with the zip.
@Stoneceltic yea let’s get the merch guys working on porting Quake 4 over!
@Stoneceltic bruh I was thinking the same thing it's crazy lol.
@Stoneceltic
It's a bonkers situation isn't it? I'm sure my most anticipated Xbox game (Fable) will be ready by around 2026 at this rate. No matter, now discovering the joys of the Switch in the meantime.
I know that im mouthing off like a punk rite there, ive always loved xbox, just want em to do as good as they can. A good example of why i seldom put comments on the internet.
So what's the point of this?
@JayJ I was quite literally showing my partner the page and asking the same thing, thinking she would be more attuned to trends in this space than I care for.
Yet, nope, not even our daughter understands it at 13. So not sure what the marketing idea is behind them.
My daughter said an hour ago or so “People can barely afford GamePass at school and they want people to buy a top to keep a controller warm!”
I’m not sure it’s to keep the controller warm, but nevertheless, interesting point to make regarding priorities during these times, for Microsoft and its customers.
Anyway, find out what the purpose is do tell some time!
@TheElectroFunky Some can't seem to spend enough money on pointless stuff, while others can barely justify the essentials. Sounds like the times alright.
@JON22
Damn I am surprised I didnt think of that! I might have to cop for the winter months!
Lol. Is your controller feeling a bit cold today?
@Stoneceltic The engineers and artists are not knitting these things. Microsoft and Xbox have (separate) marketing and merchandising departments. They need something to do.
Thanks for going out of your way to tell me that dude i had no idea
