Still waiting for the Silent Hill HD Collection to go on sale
Too much new games to play, Backlog is already exploding as it is.
@WyldStallyns
Same. Thought it was gonna happen on Halloween, but nope.
@Lup Looking at the trends, it goes on sale every couple of months and the last time was the end of August. Hopefully soon!
I just got a Series X a couple months ago and one primary reason was for back compat stuff. Already got Silent Hill, Condemned CO, both Darkness games, and Prey. I need to get GTA4, RDR, Max Payne 3, Lost Odyssey, so will probably pick those up & install them whenever I get an external drive.
Not as many backwards compatible as there were before between Microsoft & other companies delisting them. Wish more 360 games would have sales, even the ones forgotten and abandoned on the platform.
@shoeses What backwards compatible games have been delisted?
@Banjo- The ones off the top of my head are all the old Halo games, Forza Horizon, GTA: San Andres, Sonic 1, 2, 3, Knuckles, & CD, DOOM 1, 2, & 3: BFG Edition, Metal Gear Solid HD Edition: 2 & 3 - and I wouldn't be shocked if the 1st Dead Space gets added to that list. A lot of those games have remakes or collections now, but they're either just worse than the previous ones or missing features, example being the DOOM Classic now not having online co-op or multiplayer, only local.
That's also not including anything only purchasable through the 360/360 store for some reason like The Orange Box, or games that were delisted for different reasons outside the backwards compatible part for issues like licensing.
Thanks. Forza Horizon 1 and 2 were removed due to the soundtrack's licence, unfortunately. GTA, Doom and classic Sonic games were removed by the publishers because they released the remasters/remakes. Sonic Origins is perfect, not so sure about the GTA remasters. The Doom games were fixed (ratio, etc.) after launch but I didn't know about that online mode. Metal Gear Solid HD Edition 2 & 3 is an odd one. It was delisted, then it came back and then it was delisted again. Some in-game licenced content was reported, and I remember reading that Konami was working on renewing the permission. There are some region-locked games that can be played in USA but not in Europe, even if you purchase the game on the USA store, at least one: Ridge Racer 6 (bought and refunded). In spite of this, Xbox One and Series S/X are the best consoles for retro-gaming.
Still waiting on Sonic Unleashed and Splinter Cell: Blacklist to go on sale
