The second version of the wildly popular Xbox Mini Fridge has been unveiled today by Xbox's VP of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg, serving as a smaller edition of the original design at a slightly reduced cost.
It's called the "Mini-Me Xbox Series X Mini Fridge", with the ability to store 8 cans in all. It also makes improvements to design and noise reduction compared to its bigger brother, so it sounds like a pretty good buy at $79 RRP!
As Greenberg notes, the new version of the Xbox Series X Mini Fridge will be available to purchase globally, although the old design will also still be available - the team is apparently continuing to make "as many as they can".
It's now been almost a year since the Xbox Mini Fridge first hit the market, and it's clearly been a huge success for Microsoft - it's quite crazy to think that it only exists because of a Twitter rivalry with Skittles!

This seems like it wouldn't be particularly useful for food or drinks, but it could be useful for other things.
Ugh, another a thermoelectric cooler?
If they made a proper Xbox mini refrigerator, I'd be all over it.
Xbox has more mini fridges than first party exclusives this year
@Solidchief And controllers too.
I wonder if I could put my series x inside this for extra cooling...
@Snake_V5 Definitely
How would I differentiate between the two on the shelf is the question.
Id rather we saw some games! A fridge that only holds 6 cans is pointless to me. Maybe because im in the uk and we dont have stupid heat, but it does seem a bit of silliness!
@Savage_Joe Really? I've seen series x in Walmarts all around where I live. Still haven't seen the first ps5 in the wild though.
Wonder if it's better quality? Saw the other fridge. Wow. Incredibly cheap build quality. Like something could buy at Spencer's Gifts store.
@Savage_Joe I’ve seen Series X on store shelves a couple times now. Seems if someone really wanted one they could have one.
@Savage_Joe That joke stopped being relevant about 6 months ago.
@InterceptorAlpha what's the difference?
I got the original, now imma get this one.
These things would be cool if it wasn't powered by a f USB cable. The manual even says not meant to be left plugged in for long term use.
@FreqMode Lol, what good is a fridge that you can't leave plugged in? Literally defeats the purpose.
Looks like fun, and at least at this smaller size and price it's more novelty priced. Though it seems the size and spec are to match as well. I wouldn't use it to store any important medicine or raw meat
Still I don't think I'll get one as my place is fairly small, and if I want a drink I'll get one out of my regular fridge that's probably no more than 20 feet away from any point in my house.
