The free-to-play eFootball has suffered a pretty rocky start ever since it was first released back in 2021 (killing PES in the process!), but Konami has been working hard on updates over the past year, and we're now up to version 2.1.
This latest update brings a key feature to the game - the ability to play against friends online! You can now use your custom Dream Team to compete with your mates, which is certainly a feature that's been long overdue.
Speaking of Dream Team, the update also adds a bunch of new Club Packs from partner clubs. In addition, the dev team at Konami has implemented "various playability enhancements, gameplay adjustments and additional features".
In all honesty, we think eFootball 2023 still has a long way to go to live up to the glories of the PES years, but Konami is clearly working hard on trying to get there. Plus, it costs nothing to play - you can download it for free right now on Xbox!
Do you play eFootball 2023? What do you think of it? Tell us in the comments.

Wow! Such a neat feature. It's not like football games dating back to 2010s had it... Wake me up when the team roster is complete and Master League is available. In the meantime I'm considering going back to PES2021.

Is this possible on consoles? If so, I'll be all over PES 2021.

Ugh. Oh well, it's still better with old rosters than eFootball 2023. Thanks for the info anyway.
