We do love a bit of Xbox Game Pass news, especially when the games aren't far away!
The latest reveals are both for September 2022, and they come in the form of Beacon Pines and Slime Rancher 2, which will be heading to the service on day one on September 22nd.
These join Disney Dreamlight Valley, Train Sim World 3, Grounded 1.0 and Moonscars as the confirmed additions for September so far.
In not-so-great news, High on Life will no longer be launching in October, having been pushed back to December instead.
But enough of the sad stuff - here are more details on Beacon Pines and Slime Rancher 2:
Beacon Pines (September 22nd)
Beacon Pines is a cute and creepy adventure game. Sneak out late, make new friends, uncover hidden truths, and collect words that will change the course of fate!
Slime Rancher 2 (September 22nd)
Continue the adventures of Beatrix LeBeau as she journeys across the Slime Sea to Rainbow Island, a land brimming with ancient mysteries, and bursting with wiggly, new slimes to wrangle in this sequel to the smash-hit, Slime Rancher.
Excited for either of these? Let us know down in the comments section below.

After watching a certain isekai anime im now in the mood to raise some slimes, slime rancher looks fun but is there actually a story to it? Or is it just aimlessly going around collection and breeding slimes?
I was told about slime rancher from a member from here ( sorry don't remember thier name ) and i really really enjoyed it , really excited for the sequal day one play for me
It's a shame High on Life has been delayed but at least it's coming in December
The High on Life news is good news for me because I was thinking it was a 2023 release anyway.
High on Life will most likely be pushed to 2023 in a further delay
dude high on life will get delayed again 2023..
It's the xbox curse.

Damn...in December...Callisto Protocol and in January Dead Space Remake.
They should rethink that launch window.
@FakeSunkist nah totally different genre and not everyone cares about horror games. I'm fully antipicating High on Life but don't care at all about Callisto, Dead Space etc
I was so excited for High on Life — I still am, but these delays are getting annoying. Please stop announcing a release date for games until you know it’s guaranteed to be releasing then.
@BlackMayge Been saying that for years now. All developers have do is follow the rule of 6 and they should be so golden.
Never played Slime Rancher, sounds like people like it but damn that trailer made it look boring as hell. Is there more to it than sucking up slimes and putting them in cages or is the trailer just bad?
@FakeSunkist Unfortunately there won't be a typical good window for the foreseeable. God of War, Calisto Protocol, Starfield, Forza 7, Redfall, Final Fantasy 16, Hogwarts legacy. Then you have quite a few potential hits like forspoken. Typical big hitters Cod, FIFA etc. There isn't really a good slot anymore.
@funkhouser the trailer probably isn’t doing the game justice.
The original Slime Rancher was a game I had no interest in until I sat and watched my kids playing it and it was so much better than what I expected.
It’s still a lot about sucking up slimes. But there is a lot to explore in the world, secrets to find and so forth. So it’s actually more of an exploration game with collecting more than it is a farming sim or anything.
@funkhouser I enjoyed playing it. It's a management game, you can sell their "droppings" in the market that flactuates over time and you can use your profit to upgrade your farms, house and equipment. I got addicted on the loop of playing it. I hope you can get to try playing it.
The curse of 2022 delays strikes once again.
A slight delay only I hope. Mike and Rich from Red Letter Media being in High on Life made me look forward to it.
Are game delays part of a marketing strategy these days?
