Tower Of Fantasy Isn't Coming To Xbox Right Now, Despite Lots Of Fan Requests

If you're a big fan of MMORPGs, then you may be aware of the game Tower of Fantasy, which just launched for the first time earlier this week on PC and mobile devices. But is it coming to Xbox? The answer for now is no.

We've seen a lot of requests from Xbox fans for developer Perfect World to bring the game to console, but the official word on the game's Discord is that the focus is very much on PC and mobile for the time being:

"Please do not misinterpret any false information you might find online or that has been said in the past, at the current moment there is no planned console release as we are working very hard to optimize and perfect mobile + PC clients."

A lot of people have been making the connection between Tower of Fantasy and Genshin Impact so far, and the professional reviews we've seen so far have been mostly positive, although its user score is very low on Metacritic.

In any case, don't expect to see this one on Xbox anytime soon! Maybe one day, but not right now.

Gave it a go on PC. It's OK, but it's no Genshin killer the main loop just isn't as satisfying. I think it's partly down to the floaty combat but also less interesting world and over-familiarity. The fact I got a little bored in the first few hours of play doesn't bode too well. But perhaps I wouldn't have had I not played so much Genshin, it just feels like a slightly worse facsimile.

Would still love to see this come to console along with Honkai Starrail and ZZZ.

From what I've seen on YouTube in terms of gameplay then this doesn't hold a candle to genshin impact. The world, character designs, combat, activities etc are all much better in genshin.

@UltimateOtaku91 Having played both I agree. But they're not identical it does offer some differences.

PROS/Differences

It's more of a MMO/PvP, though can be single player.
gacha seems more generous but could just be introductory offers
there's more character customisation options, if you like that

CONS

World is not as interesting to view or explore. (This is where Genshin shines. It's one of the most interesting and diverse worlds to explore in videogames)
Combat far more floaty and less enjoyable.
Quests, puzzles and story seemed far less interesting
It's clearly high budget, but doesn't feel anywhere near as polished

Xbox still haven't gotten genshin impact, I really wish xbox got genshin with smartphone cross-save feature, I want to play it on my tv and collect the daily bonus on my phone, I can't do that on ps5 😕

@wiiware FYI you 100% can cross play on PS4/5 and phone. You couldn't at launch but this feature has been available for over a year now. I play every day sometimes on my iphone sometimes on PS5.
