If the release of Immortality on August 30th wasn't on your radar prior to today, it probably should be now! While we've only seen one review of the game so far, it's a pretty incredible one — EDGE magazine has given it a 10/10!
Specifics on why the game has received a 10/10 are unfortunately not widely known just yet, as it's not available to purchase from newsstands for a few more days, but lucky subscribers have been getting their hands on it early:
If you're not aware, Immortality is the latest game from Sam Barlow (Her Story, Telling Lies), and is described as an "interactive film trilogy" in which your job is to discover what happened to film star Marissa Marcel using lost videos of her.
Marissa Marcel was a film star. She made three movies. But none of the movies was ever released. And Marissa Marcel disappeared. An interactive trilogy from Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story.
We'll let you know when we get more details on this fantastic 10/10 review from EDGE, and hopefully we'll have our own review to bring you nearer to the launch date, when Immortality arrives on August 30th for Xbox Game Pass.

It's always seemed to me that Edge is quite hard to please, so the game must have something going for it.
The 10 club in Edge is quite a prestigious group. I was looking forward to this; now I'm hyped.
I saw this the other day when my copy rocked up, the review seems to answer all my frustrations with Telling Lies compared to Her Story. Looking forward to this even more than I was.
@Markatron84 Edge IS very hard to please. They've only handed out 24 10/10 scores in 28 years and 375 issues since 1993. So as @Jey887 said quite a prestigious group indeed.
For reference in same issue Xenoblade Chronicles 3 got an 8, Stray a 7, As Dusk Falls and Escape Academy both a 6, etc. they are usually on the stingier side of the review spectrum.
Never even heard of this game...nice surprise
@uptownsoul what's more alarming is they gave The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a 10/10. I now recant my previous statement about Edge being hard to please.
I really enjoyed Telling Lies. The story's culmination was a bit wonky but I was pretty enthralled going thru footage, piecing things together. The keyword search for related videos was genius.
@uptownsoul Dreams is 100% one of the very few 10/10s out there. The ability to make your own games/movies/music…every kids dream back in the 90s.
Today they’d rather watch other people play games than play them themselves.
Dreams should have been preinstalled on every PlayStation console since it’s release.
Still haven’t played Her story. Did it ever get released for console?
Really enjoyed aspects of telling lies though even if it didn’t have the pay off I ultimately wanted.
Don’t put much stock in the 10/10 but been looking forward to playing this
A 10/10 from Edge is impressive, but this sort of “game” isn’t really my cup of tea.
@Bleachedsmiles no but it’s brilliant, and cheap, on tablet if you have access to one. Alternatively it’s on PC game pass. The control scheme fits that perfectly. Still holds up wonderfully and only a few hours long. Her story is utterly unique and compelling.
@uptownsoul @Bleachedsmiles Dreams is the only reason I still have a Playstation.
It's also the best reason, here's a track I produced with my friend a few weeks ago (beware it's absolutely banging);

@themcnoisy Nice use of “yo”. Good track!
Yeah I love dreams. Made a few horror games on it. It’s a great learning tool that’s a real shame it will never be on Xbox.
Hopefully they’ll bring it to pc soon.
Im sorry but i found telling lies extremally hard to navigate and they way they wanted me to discover the story so off putting.
Beautiful girl
