Limited Run Games finally got up and running on Xbox this year, after sticking to PlayStation and Nintendo platforms for some time. One of the most notable upcoming releases announced back then was a physical version of the recent DOOM 64 port, and this just-revealed Collector's Edition looks pretty awesome.
The 'DOOM 64 Classic Edition' is set to launch alongside the standard physical release, both of which are the first ever physical options for this game on Xbox. The special edition contains a booklet, a reversible poster, and a beautiful metal N64-style cartridge.
Pre-orders go up tomorrow, with the Collector's Edition available from August 5th through September 4th, unless supplies run out beforehand of course. Given the nature of Limited Run, we'd expect this one to go pretty quick!

Booted this up recently, not having played it since its original release, and was pleasantly surprised by how absolutely solid an FPS/puzzler it is. Brilliant level design, pitch-perfect atmosphere and iconic sprites. One of my favorite Game Pass tries of the year so far.
Jesus ***** Christ, for the love of god, do not spend an additional $50 on top of a $5 game, of which is frequently on sale for half of that, for a poster and a cartridge made out of a quarter worth of metal, at best. This is a company full of scumbags that only care about departing you of your money and far too many people fall for it.
Doom 64 = great.
Limited Run = a scumbag company who will still publish titles with DRM requirements, like Scott Pilgrim.
