Xbox has announced that it will once again be attending Gamescom this year, and this time the brand will be back on the actual show floor, providing "a chance to hang out as a community again (in person)".
Gamescom 2022, which takes place from August 24th-28th in Cologne, Germany, will feature "updates on some announced games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months", although it hasn't been confirmed whether we'll be getting some kind of livestream as well, or whether these updates will just be trickled out during Gamescom week.
The team says it'll share more details in early August, so we'll keep you updated with all the major news.
Here's a look at the message sent to press earlier today:
"Following our recent Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, we’re excited to confirm that Xbox will be back on the show floor at gamescom 2022 in Cologne, Germany. Fans in Europe and around the world can expect updates on some announced games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months and a chance to hang out as a community again (in person)!"
"We’ll have more details to share in early August ahead of the event, so please stay tuned. "

Its tough to be excited when we know there are no new announcements! Unless you intend to attend in person, it really doesnt mean much.
I would hope they will do some streams too, so hopefully we can get some more info on the upcoming titles we know about..
@Titntin They need to stick to this 12 month thing now. If they don’t then June was pointless. If they do then next year going forward their ‘E3’ show will always end up with new reveals…with the added benefit of knowing we won’t be waiting too long for the new games they show.
First year of doing it was always going to be hard when we saw most of those games last years show
@Bleachedsmiles Yes your quite right. The whole 'just wait till next year thing' is a bit of a joke now, but its a fair critiscm. If they can turn that into 'just look at what we have this year', then that will be a fantastic change and im sure we will all be happier.
