During today's Annapurna Interactive showcase, the publisher revealed that critically acclaimed story adventure, What Remains of Edith Finch, was getting a native next-gen port. Oh, and it's out right now!
After five or so years out in the wild, the Xbox One title has finally been upgraded for new-gen consoles. On the beefier Xbox Series X, and the PS5 of course, Annapurna is saying it'll hit 4K resolution at 60 frames per-second, although we don't know the specific Series S details just yet.
What we do know is that the upgrade is free for existing owners on last-gen consoles. With Xbox, that extends to Game Pass, where the Xbox One version currently sits in the library.
If you've never played this one before and are into your story-driven titles, we wholeheartedly recommend it. Edith Finch was a standout in 2017 even amongst the AAA market, so it's well worth a look on Xbox Game Pass. Here are some next-gen screens to feast your eyes on before hitting that download button:
Have you played this one before? Looking forward to its next-gen patch? Let us know!

Great game and worth experiencing in my humble opinion. But man, does time flies by us all or what - 2017?! it feels like it was couple of months ago...
Nice! I played this one on PC at launch and loved it. I'll jump back in and experience it again for sure.
Not really one for environmental narratives like Gone Home or Dear Esther, but this is a fantastic game. One of the best stories in gaming IMHO.
Such a Beautiful game.

A great chance for people to play it. I saw that Outer Wilds has also gotten the upgrade treatment too which is also a fantastic game
