Original story [Mon 13th Jun, 2022 05:05 BST]: Obsidian had a few interesting games on display at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase and one of them was a title that's already available...Grounded!
The news here is that this title will finally be getting a "full release" this September on Xbox consoles, PC, cloud and Xbox Game Pass. Here's the rundown, along with a look:
"Grounded is preparing to leave Game Preview this September as it launches its full release. Find out how the teens got into the yard and the mad scientist behind it in the fully playable campaign – all of which can be experienced alone or with a group of friends! New armor recipes, new weapon recipes, and the giant Mantis await players in this upcoming update."

Loved it, but stopped playing because I wanted to wait for the full release. Really looking forward to it!
Am I the only one that thinks they can't keep showing this game at every showcase? I think it's been there for like 3 years in a row...
I will definitely play this as I wanted to play through the whole campaign, I've tried it in the past and had fun with it.
I wonder if this will cost more for people who buy it at $29.99 now or if it will cost $59.99, at all...
I’ve played this a few times in early release and thought the game was in a pretty rough state, even if it’s fun to explore and fool around in. Hopefully the “full release” will polish it up a bit.
@palahniukslaughter I imagine with this being the full release of the game that we won't be seeing this at every showcase going forward. I imagine they'll just do smaller content drops from time to time
@palahniukslaughter and sea of thieves!
It makes sense to have Grounded, Sea of Thieves and any other game that has some significant update and/or new content. Sea of Thieves may of launched 4yrs ago, but its continued to add 'new' content which is why its continued appearing at showcases. Grounded hasn't 'officially' launched yet so it makes sense to announce its officially releasing. Its bringing 'new' content to the game so it makes sense to announce it alongside other 'new' content coming to Xbox!
Just because some may want to play games in 'Early Access' and provide valuable feedback that helps the devs develop and polish their game (especially with online systems) prior to release, others prefer to wait for the complete and final release. Its still a 'new' release as its the 'official' release date so makes sense to talk about it along with all the other 'new' content coming to Xbox.
Just like Forza Horizon DLC, Flight Sim Updates bringing 'new' content etc, that also get shown, this is no different....
This has been out 2 years or something hasnt it?
Really curious to give it a go. Being of the, honey I shrink the kids generation, this game checks fair amount of boxes. At least for me.
This game has already came such a long way since its first game ptrview release... It's a fun game, n this final update looks to be huge. I'm really excited to build a crazy ass fortress this time.
Also, this game will continue to get plenty of updates. I am sure they will have updates at future xbox game shows just as often as Sea of Thieves.
